One of the standout features of this welder is its compact size. Unlike larger machines that can be cumbersome and difficult to maneuver, the AZZUNO is lightweight and easy to handle. This portability allows me to easily transport it to different job sites without the hassle of bulky equipment. It's ideal for small tack welding jobs, where precision and accessibility are key. The setup process was straightforward, and I appreciated that it came with everything I needed to get started right out of the box. The IGBT inverter technology ensures a stable arc, which is crucial for achieving clean welds. Despite its smaller stature, the machine performs admirably, delivering consistent results for my welding needs. However, I do have to mention the handheld welding mask that accompanies the machine. While functional, I found it to be quite limiting. The mask is very dark, making it challenging to see what I’m working on, and it requires me to keep one hand free, which can be cumbersome during operations. Consequently, I plan to invest in a traditional welding helmet. This will not only enhance my visibility but also allow me to keep both hands free for better control and safety. Despite this minor drawback, I find it hard to complain about the overall value this machine provides. I have never welded before in my life. This was my very first attempt. The dial being set to about 75 was the perfect temperature for welding metal. Any lower and it didn’t get hot enough any higher and it burned holes. It could be the material I was using. The little face shield that came in. The unit was great because the really fancy one I had borrowed had dead batteries, and I couldn’t use it. The real trick to this welding is to get the rod hot to where it’s flaming, and then it just fills up the hole and connects the pieces of metal. It was remarkably easy to do. The person helping me has used stick welders before and said that the only downside of the whole product was that it is a little bit heavy, doing everything in one hand. But he still thought it was excellent. Please don’t make fun of my welds. They are not grinded or anything. They were truly the first or second welds ever done by somebody who has never tried welding or even soldering before. I highly recommend this was a lot of fun. Enjoy.
