From listening to some reviews you’d think these things don’t last long - they don’t, nor do any scrubber I’ve had. They’re rubbing against the course surface of the pool, they are going to wear relatively fast. My Polaris runs an hour or so a day, I replace these about every 6+ weeks. Other reviews point out these are packed in a flat format and come out of the package deformed. Absolutely, I had my doubts as well when opening and taking out the first one of these. Unlike other scrubbers , this came in a flat pack and they need to be expanded in warm water to use on pool sweep hose. Lets see how long they last. Others have worn down in two months.

The knockoffs don't seem to last as long as the originals, but they're cheap and you get a lot of them, so changing them out more often isn't a big deal.

The scrubber that came with my new Polaris was worn through in about 2 months. This one is much denser and has already lasted twice as long with little wear showing. It is difficult to installer the nozzle, but well worth it.

Maybe I missed the small print details on the advertisement, but this bulk order sweep hose scrubbers, they arrive pancake flat. At first I thought, "what the heck? These are not round!" But the included directions describe how to puff them out so they turn round. You can use either a hair dryer, or hot water. This is a pain in the butt to do- first of all I don't own a hair dryer (but I borrowed one!). And you need to hold the hair dryer down physically on the scrubber or else it will blow away. This is quite an inconvenience just to make the packaging shrink in size by a tiny bit- Amazon frequently ships me items in huge boxes and wastes usable space anyway. Quality of the material looks just ok, not great. I go through a lot of these anyway in a season, so I'm willing to trade off price for quality as they will get worn down either way. But next time I may pick a brand where i don't have to "prep" them to install. ... show more
