This is a major piece of equipment, the real deal. Assembly was oddly easy. It took me2-3 times to get used to, no different than any new piece of exercise equipment. The trick is to just walk or run naturally and the machine reacts naturally. Once you use this you can't go back to a traditional treadmill. The real test however was each of my 4 Grandchildren (4, 5, 5, 6) got on and were able to use it instantly, it was amazing! A nice additional benefit...I have some severe nerve and balance issues and this type of machine is great for your balance. To the person above, they sell a water bottle holder for $39.99. I have been working out most of my life and have a huge home gym, I am a lot VERY VERY HAPPY with this machine! UPDATE: I enjoy this machine more the longer I use it. I used a $13,000 version at a spa this past week and the resistance adjustment was the only noticeable difference for 10,000 more.     • The unit is great, delivery was not
First let me say the treadmill is everything I hoped it would be. Solid, quiet, and perfect for me. The delivery was a nightmare. They sent a text 3 days early and said it was on the way and I needed to be home. Thankfully I can work from home if needed, but I question why they had me schedule the delivery if the date was not followed. When the truck arrived, my treadmill was knocked over onto a bunch of other people's boxes in the back of the truck. They had set it on end and not secured it, so it fell over. Because it is roughly 350 lbs. the only way they could pick it up was to stand on other boxes and push it up. Once inside the box had many OBVIOUS holes from getting mishandled, so they nicely pushed that side against a wall, took a picture of the only undamaged side, then left as fast as they could without having me sign anything. I took pictures of everything as they delivered just in case. Once they left, I opened and carefully inspected everything and the good news is Assault Fitness packages the treadmill to protect against shippers like this, so my treadmill was fine. ... show more

    • A Catalog of Incompetence
1. Nobody called us to coordinate delivery, as advertised. 2. We had to pick the treadmill up from the shipping terminal ourselves. 3. The product was defective right out of the box. 4. The manufacturer could not repair it, even though we live just outside Missoula, MT. 5. Once arranged, the refund pickup had to be rescheduled because the transport company was never notified of the pickup. 6. Despite assurances I would get all my money back in 5-7 business days, Amazon cancelled the refund once the treadmill was returned to the Amazon warehouse. 7. They are now promising my money back in an additional 5-7 business days. 8. Their website still shows the product awaiting pickup and return. 9. This process is still ongoing, now in its third month of absurdity. ... show more

    • A Wild Ride with a Few Bumps
The Assault Fitness AssaultRunner Pro is the manual curve treadmill you never knew you needed. Setup was a breeze—stripping it from the box to having it fully operational in under 30 minutes. No complicated instructions, no frills, just you and the machine. But let's talk about the quirks. The biggest gripe? No cup holder. Yes, you’ll have to hold your water bottle or place it somewhere nearby, which might just be the motivation you need to run faster. And the phone holder? It’s a bit overzealous, covering the entire screen like a clingy ex. On the bright side, shipping was fast, and the delivery guys were great. However, it seems like the box went through a battlefield—ripped, holey, and with parts peeking out like they were trying to escape. Thankfully, nothing was missing, and there wasn’t a scratch on the treadmill. In summary, the AssaultRunner Pro is a solid, no-nonsense treadmill with a few minor annoyances.     • Super easy to assemble!
My husband and I used to go to the gym specifically for the Curve machine. We loved it so much that we wanted to purchase one for our in-home gym. But with a starting price over $5K, we just couldn’t justify the purchase. That’s when we started looking at the Assault Runner. The Assault Runner is comparable, and at a much more affordable price!!! The belt is very quiet and smooth. The screen is easy very legible and easy to use - keeps track of my run stats without any problems! When we ordered the machine, we were worried about the assembly process. But it was SO EASY!!!! The bottom portion (the belt) comes already assembled. So it’s literally like 4 separate portions that you have to put together. I’m not very handy and it took me less than an hour from start to finish. (I’m also not very strong and needed my husband to tighten some of the bolts. So it would definitely take somebody else way less time.) All in all, this was a great purchase!!! ... show more

    • Beautiful, but loud
I wanted very much to love this machine. Pros: sturdy, solid cardio workout achievable, full engagement when you run, easy to use. Cons: noise level. It's my only con, but big one due to the noise output. Keep in mind it was built following instructions to a tee. The belt is just meant to be this loud. No shaking or wobbling, just the noise of the rotation of the belt that is insane. If you don't have an extra room or space away from others to place this, you'll be bugging the heck out of them. ... show more
