I have both with same electronics, I fix tekno every week while Typhon just sits pretty. Lap times are pretty similar at local track, although there’s more potential for tekno, typhon just keeps on racing. Absolutely no parts broke yet! Awesome for beginner racer!

after trusting losi kits and mugen kits and some other kits.. i was amazed how much you get for ur money with this losi tuned buggy.. all prebuilt...amazing fast durable... i would buy again

    • Very fun enjoyable vehicle
I have always wanted a Typhon but did not decide to get one when they raised the price, however seeing this I knew I had to have it! The vehicle is very fast handles nicely and flies very well off of my ramp.

My 6s BLX has landed crappier, harder and way more before I broke it, and this TLR didn’t even land that bad on its first jump on my local track and it broke this front A arm at what I would call the strongest part of the A arm. I expected more from a race ready basher from arrma. I’m hoping someone reads this and reaches out to me to atleast offer some compensation of some sort. Other than this incident the typhon is a 5* RC car that can hang or pass the Tekno’s, TA’s, and the Lodi’s. ... show more

    • Not really a race buggy or easy to work on
Too many small design issues for my taste, especially for something marketed as a race buggy (yes, I know it’s a basher that can be raced, but the TLR designation implies race). I had a race buggy 10+ years ago that was easier to work on, so no reason for this to not have at least the same ease. The servo mount on this is just a bad design. Multi piece and very difficult to fit the servo, mostly the wire passing through. The battery tray is integrated with the receiver box. So instead of being able to remove the receiver box by itself the battery tray has to come out also. These may seem like small complaints, but again, there should be some improvement of design after a decade. The price of this was excellent, but I couldn’t live with some of the design compromises and I ended up returning it. ... show more
