The cleaning power of the Beatbot Aquasense Pro is truly impressive! It has made maintaining my pool so much easier. However, the app connectivity is lacking, and I can't control it via the app. The unit is quite heavy, but overall, it's a great pool cleaner.

    • A lot to like about this, but there's competition out there
A bought a couple of these robots for the purpose of reviewing through Vine and finally opened the pool to give it a go. My standard is the dolphin CC supreme, but I definitely have some issues about it, so I was looking forward to trying out these cordless varieties. For starters, I have not heard of this brand but the technology looked very interesting to me. Out of the box, it's a beautiful machine. The stand comes together nicely and there were no problems charging it. The app made me do an update, which is fine, but the machine needs to be on the charger for this. This is the highest end of the 3 machines I'm going to review. I love the cordless feature. A corded machine is a constant worry as I have rabbits in my yard who will chew right through it. That will cost you. Plus, don't even get me started on the Dolphin power source, which, isn't exactly waterproof and those things cost into the several hundreds to replace. So, cordless is a solid, gleaming plus here. You have some selections on this machine as it does surface work as well (dolphin doesn't). After a full cycle I would say the surface was impeccable and the overall cleanliness of the pool rivaled (but not entirely beat) the dolphin. The rectangular deep end was cleaned 100% by both machines, but they both struggled to completely clean the oval-ish shallower end. The dolphin did a slightly better job, maybe. I love how this machine just floats to the top when done. It surfaced right at the edge of the pool so I didn't need to get the pole to fish it out. The app is interesting, but don't go into this with the same expectations that you have with the corded dolphin products with bluetooth. When this product hits the water, the app is closed. There is no bluetooth functionality when this robot is under water. The dolphin is fully functional at all times as the bluetooth base is the power source which is always on land. Do i personally care about this? No. Of course, durability and customer service are not things I can report on as this is a brand new machine. This is unfortunate though, because customer service is very important with these types of items as I've never really felt any of them are built to last for very long. I've had problems with my Dolphin and it is 100% best to avoid their customer service altogether and just find an authorized dealer to handle the return/warranty etc. The dealers will hook you up. Not sure if this brand has many authorized dealer locations near me. Overall, this is a solid pool robot. It will probably be my go to robot because of the concerns I have with corded machines, as i pointed out. Of course, the corded machine won't be too far away, as with most rechargeable items I own, I often times forget to recharge them. It's a solid offering. I'm only docking it a star because of the over $2000 price point, which when you consider it does the surface cleaning as well, may be a justified price. ... show more

I've tried a bunch of pool cleaners down through the years, but I've never seen one like this. The Beatbot Aquasense Pro is the definitive Big Daddy of pool cleaning. This is a "5-in-1" cleaner that not only cleans the bottom, but the walls, the waterline and the surface as well. Plus, there's a clarification kit (clarifying agent sold separately) that lets you add chems to the pool as needed. And it's all powered by a groundbreaking 9-motor system. There's also an app that lets you choose from a number of modes and program it to work for a prescribed number of minutes over several days. As soon as you drop the unit into the water, it Immediately starts mapping the pool. Once it knows its way around, it's faster than a corded vacuum. The Beatbot Pro comes with a charging station with the charging contacts on the outside of the body. It's water tight so no worries about keeping a charging port plugged up. And it transfers a long-lasting charge. This hummer can run continuously for 9.5 hrs which is unheard of...at least I've not heard of any than will run that long. After it's completed cleaning, it parks on the pool's surface, connects to the phone app and lets you know it's done. It's pricey, no doubt about it. But when you consider that it's several devices rolled into one, the Beatbot is worth the investment. There are five settings, an individual mode for just the floor; the floor, walls and waterline; manual power, the floor, walls, waterline and surface and also a floor only cleaning mode. You can leave the Beatbot in the pool and run it on a every other day schedule. When it's low on charge it will notify you and come to the surface for retrieval. It weighs about 25 lbs empty (about the weight of a bucket of chlorine tablets) but what would you expect when you consider the size and power of its battery, its huge scrubbers and tractor treads? This jeep parks itself on the surface, usually within easy reach and not full of water, which makes it easier to lift. In action, it moves slow once its got everything mapped for a more thorough cleaning. Apparently, it works best in square pools -- it's tailor made for complex mapping which it handles well. This is one powerful cleaning robot with so many features...the double strainer basket picks up even the tiniest algae, sand, whatever to provide a crystal clear pool. And it's all automatic. Other features include gyros keep it upright, Ultrasonic AI mapping guided by 20 sensors and an obstacle avoidance system, as well as a weekly timer. In Pro mode, all the smart features come into play with combo cleaning of floors, walls, waterline and surface skimmer. If you only ever buy one pool cleaner, this one does it all.
