  • Very awesome, but be careful
Size: 300W (for 80-95 gallon)
This product was the best, longest working aquarium heater I've had yet. I purchased it in 2021, and it never failed me until the end. A few days ago I came home and smelled something electrical burning. Turns out it was this heater. The control box was fried. However, I do not fault the heater as about 3 weeks ago I had over filled the tank and all my electrical got wet. But it did not electrocute my tank at all when it failed. Buying another right now. ... show more

  • Great heater with simple, easy to access controls
Size: 100W (for 25-35 gallon)
This is a powerful heater that holds temperature very well. Compared to my marina 100w heater in the photo, it does look rather bulky, but it blends in just fine in my cichlid tank. When I first plugged in the heater, my current temp readout was at 76f and I set it to 80f. It took about an hour to reach 80f, which is fairly quick. My marina heater takes a few hours. The temperature has been holding all day, even in a colder room. My room temp at the moment is 70f, with the window slightly cracked open and the tank is about 3 feet from the window. It kicks in when it's 1 degree lower, which is more ideal for those with sensitive livestock. Some heaters don't kick in until the temp is down to 5f lower than your desired setting! You don't have to worry about wide temperature swings with this unit. I appreciate the exterior temp readout and control module. It comes with a hanging kit and can be secured on the edge of the tank. It does take a few presses to get to your desired setting, because there's only one button. It just cycles through to 93f and starts over. Pressing and holding the button for 5 seconds changes it from F to C readouts. The suction cups are very good quality and didn't give me any trouble, but time will tell. Another thing I appreciate is that it has a memory setting in case the power goes out. I tested it by unplugging and replugging it. The setting always stayed the same. This gives me peace of mind. The only thing I do not like about the exterior module is that it can be easily accessed by kids... and kids love pushing all sorts of buttons... But I am single and don't have to worry about this.. Just be careful and keep an eye on your temp settings when you have kids over! Or better yet, conceal it to the back corner. It does blend well in some setups and may look bulky in others. This is something to consider. Personally for me the housing doesn't bother me. I'm not a big fan of the big glass tubes. My yellow lab cichlids are too big to fit in the slots, so I don't have to worry about any misadventure. I will keep testing this throughout the upcoming season and will update on any changes. ... show more

  • Heater for fish pond
Size: 200W (for 45-80 gallon)
Bought this for an above ground fish pond. It has been doing the job so far. We have had a couple of 26 degree days and it’s been keeping the water 70 degrees. Fish seem to be happy. Would buy again.

  • Heater stopped working in less than 2 months
Size: 1200W (for 132-264 gallon)
Purchased the 1200w aquarium heater from Amazon on October 19 2023 to use a supplemental heater for my 100 gallon aquarium. Put the heater in service around the 1st of November 2023. I noticed the temperature in my aquarium was low. After troubleshooting, I realized the AQQA unit was not working. i took the heater out of the aquarium and did a thorough cleaning. Reinstalled it and no display on the unit. Hope the company stands behind it product warranty. Unfortunately, I need a heater asap. It's past the Amazon return date. Company doesn't have a customer support number, only an email. It's ridiculous to spend this much on an aquarium heater and it doesn't last 2 months Customer service was very responsive in sending out replacement unit. Hopefully, the replacement will function longer than the original. ... show more

  • started to malfunction within a year
Size: 300W (for 80-95 gallon)
I purchased this unit last feb20, 2023 for the last three days it has been malfunctioning giving the EE error and beeping tried unplugging and plugging in, tried the temp adjustment button on top. but it only begins to function properly for a while and then goes back to EE and beeping. the temperature has dropped but occasional rises a bit in between beeping sessions. I spent the extra $$ to get something that lasts but this version is not much better than the other brands, Im hoping to get exchange or $ back as this unit is within the 1 year warranty. ... show more

  • great heaters so far
Size: 500W (for 66-135 gallon)
First off the heaters are pretty big, so keep that in mind. I ordered 2 of the 500 watt for my 125 gallon tank. The suction cups are very strong. The controllers are nice and easy to use/mount. They hold temp very well. I have a digital temp probe in a different spot in the tank and it reads 1-1.5 degrees F higher that the controllers do, which I am fine with. Will buy them again for another tank. ... show more
