It must be hit or miss if you get the correctly wired one. In testing after completely installing and driving, the OD off light was lit and it would not go into OD. On another listing for this very product, lots of comments were made about the two of the three outside wires were revered. I found this listing and and thought they must have fixed it. NOPE. I had to spend about two hours fixing it. It is also very loose and I replaced the outer tube it connects to. All new parts and I still have a sloppy shifter, although it is better than it was. Save yourself the trouble. Go to Ford and buy OEM on this part. I give only one star because they must know about this problem and did not recall them or offer any fix. ... show more

Ok first thing first, I own a 97 Ford E 150. This fit perfectly, the off light works great. I was scred at first due to the high volume of reviews indivcating the light didn't work. It is perfect for my vehicle and works just fine. 5/5 stras from me.

This product did not work, easy to install but the light was on after I installed it and would not turn off when I pushed the button. I checked to see if it was just the light but the truck would not engage the Overdrive. This was made in China. I went to my local FORD store and got their last one that was OEM and it installed easily and worked perfect. ... show more

    • Better than the original, I think
The plastic on the original shifter broke. Tried getting by with glue, tape, etc., but it would always re-break. This one looks and feels stronger than the original shifter. It was easy enough to install in my 2000 F350 after checking out a couple of youtube videos.

    • Perfect replacement
This was a perfect fit for my 2000 F150. Installation took about 20 minutes and it works great. Nice sold feel and looks almost like the original.

Husband installed it and it works great. Used to be we had to count the clicks to make sure we were in Drive cause the pointer was off sinc, now it's aligned.
