Bought this to take on vacation with us. My partner and I are coffee lovers, and the thought of drinking bellow average coffee for 2 weeks sounded terrible, so we brought our electric tea kettle, our French press and a bag of this for cream, worked beautifully and I was surprised and happy at how good this cream is, it's yummy give it a try. I do have 1 tip, put a small amount of coffee, like 2 tablespoons in your cup first, then add your cream and stir untilyou have a thin paste with no lumps, then add the rest of your coffee and stir well, a beverage frother would probably better, but my had died literally the day before we were heading out, but above method worked pretty well. I purchased this for camping and tried it at home prior to leaving to ensure it tasted good and would blend with my coffee. I did try mixing it with hot water ahead of time and it still clumped. I just put it in my coffee and it clumped the same. The taste was good and it travels well. It’s a fantastic alternative when you can’t refrigerate milk or don’t drink black coffee :-). Overall I think it’s a great product and does the job in a camping situation. I likely will use it for work when I travel too because the little coffee creamers in hotels give me horrible heartburn probably from some additive. I am happy with this product for what I use it for. Does it taste exactly like fresh cream? No, but I've never had no dried product that taste as good as its fresh counterpart. It doesn't taste bad especially when cold. Can you make whipped cream? Yes, I was about to make whipped cream, but I had to use 2 and a half times more cream powder than the instructions indicated, and it took a little longer than regular heavy cream. Is this a long shelf-life product? No, there is no way any product with a high quantity of fat (whole milk, Cream, butter etc., can sit on a shelf at room temperature for an extended period of time without going rancid. The 3-month expiration date seems reasonable to me. Tried using it to make homemade Ice cream, it doesn't work, but works fine in a recipe for whipped cake frosting. ... show more

    • Works For Baking! NOT Tasty In Coffee!

I bought a bag of this Anthony's Heavy Cream Powder, 1 lb, Batch Tested Gluten Free, No Fillers or Preservatives, Keto Friendly, Product of USA. I live in a very rural mountain location. During winter and spring thaw, we are basically stuck at home for 4 to 6 weeks, due to impassable roads. I still NEED my 2 to 3 cups of coffee every day, but I also needed a good creamer back-up for when I can't get out to the store to buy my favorite Half and Half! I will NOT drink any of the so-called powdered jar coffee creamers, which are all disgustingly loaded with hydrogenated junk and weird chemicals. When I saw this Anthony's Heavy Cream Powder was made of ONLY pure dried cream, I thought that this would be an absolutely perfect solution for me and my coffee creamer habit. - - SO NOT SO! - - - For one, The 1st bag I bought was missing from the package when I got my order. - The 2nd bag was dated as expiring in 5 months, so not good for longer term back-up storage. I decided to give it a try now, since it needed to be used before the 5 month expiration. I read that for creamer, I'd need to mix it with a bit of water to make a slurry 1st. I did that, but it was super clumpy. - I added a splash of hot water into the mix, and that helped. - I tasted it before I added my coffee and it did NOT taste like cream. It tasted a bit salty and sour! - So, I added some fresh brewed coffee anyway! -- ICK! ICK! ICK! -- - Not at all smooth and creamy in my coffee like the Half and Half that I am used to. Over the past few days I have tried to experiment in other way to get this stuff to work like a decent coffee creamer. It turns out NASTY every time! So, the rest of this bag I will be using for baking biscuits and pancakes, as it does work good for them. Will I buy more of the Anthony's Heavy Cream Powder? Naw... this stuff is totally NOT for me! I think I actually will just continue to keep a lot of cans of Sweetened Condensed Milk in storage for any coffee emergencies. That is actually more like a delicious treat to be using Sweetened Condensed Milk in my coffee, even though I normally don't like my coffee sweetened. It is a tastier solution for me than this gloppy, sour'ish Anthony's Heavy Cream Powder in my coffee. For baking though, the Anthony's Heavy Cream Powder works fine. ... show more

I specifically use this delicious powdered Cream, as an addition to the SACO"S dry milk, which is in itself, totally awesome to be nonfat!I put a teaspoon in every glass I make of Saco's perfect Nonfat Powdered Milk..let's just be real and make a double 5 star review, including Saco's.I have never in my 74 year old life, drank remasterd milk, from a MIX,lol as great as Saco's!! Leave it to Brilliant Hispanics to do the job right!!! There dry milk, with just a tsp. of Bob's Heavy cream is such a pleasure to the senses, to just guzzle it on down, and the milk is so white, white as snow!I dont write many reviews, but, Bob's and Sacos' are 2 high end quality milk products..please dont raise the price any higher tho, in case anyone with clout reads this plea..great stuff!!! ... show more
