    • Defective switch
Bought five of them work great until the switch doesn’t work. Two out of five were defective but for the price was worth it, return was accepted I liked all the safety features, if it tip over it shuts off.

    • Powerful and hot, but slightly louder than a typical heater

This thing throws fire, it can get hot and it pushes air like a champ. Only thing to be aware of is that it's kind of loud. Not *loud*, but louder than all the other space heaters I've ever had. But it'll heat a large sized room with ease, it's a powerful little thing.

    • Heats well but thermostat works poorly.
The build quality is pretty solid and it puts out good heat for its size and price. I confirmed that the safety shutoff worked when the unit was tipped as well. Several reviews have stated that this doesn't have a thermostat. That is incorrect - it does have a thermostat, just not one with specific temperatures on it. I intentionally purchased one with a thermostat because I wanted to keep my baby's room warm and within a reasonable temperature range. I knew this unit's thermostat wouldn't have the ability to choose a temperature by number (expected at this price point) but figured I'd experiment with the dial until I knew where to set it to keep it at the desired temperature. It turned out that the setting dial is extremely sensitive to the smallest changes in its setting - at least around the temperature I was aiming for: 75°F degrees or so. Besides being very hard to find a setting, the range of the temperatures the room would be at for any given setting was huge. For example, at one setting, it heated the room up to 79°F while the heater was running but once it kicked off, it got down to 70°F before it turned back on. Any thermostat will have a little bit of a range but I expected it to be 2 degrees; 3 at most. This made it completely unusable for our purpose. If you want an inexpensive unit that you intend to adjust as needed, this one will work perfectly well for you but if you wan to maintain a particular temperature, look elsewhere. ... show more
