This heating mat is a good value. I’ve had several similar to this. I work with cats, and wildlife. The good thing is that it STAYS on so I don’t need to check it often, and it’s at a constant temperature rated for animals, not humans. Win-win! I’m getting a few more.

I was given this Outdoor Heating Pad for free in order to provide an unbiased review as part of Amazon's Vine program. Our cat is a rescue from Mexico, so when the weather turns cold, we use heat pads to help keep him warm. He was immediately interested in it, but the fact that it only has one temperature was a concern to us. The pad does not have an off/on switch. It can only be plugged in which means that it requires supervision. It's also a small size, so for the pet who could make use of it, I would not leave an animal that small outdoors. —What I Liked: The cord is a good length—long enough for my needs. It also seems heavy duty and appears as though it’s very durable. Same thing with the heating pad itself. The plastic surrounding the elements appears to be strong and durable. I’ll be using it for a laid back feral cat, so it’s unlikely she’ll chew or tear it. I’ll give an update to this review if she does. The dimensions of the heating pad are a good size for an adult cat or a small dog. I also like that it came with a little cover. It’s so small I don’t know if you can call it a “blanket”, but it was nice to have this piece of fabric included with the product. —What Could Be Improved: Even though I like that the fabric came with the pad, the little cover is so wonky and cheap looking it detracts from the product as a whole. The sewing seems okay, but the cut is crooked. Really crooked—see the pictures. I guess in the whole scheme of things, a crooked blanket covering a cat’s heating pad isn’t the end of the world. But again, it really detracts from the entire product. Something nit-picky: The fabric says “happy”. Just that. One word. Am I missing something? It seems random and incomplete. Weird. Anyway, I’ll definitely be using a different blanket. Final verdict: The product is worth buying, just don't expect to be impressed with the Happy Cover. ... show more
