🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The Anker PowerCore 10000 is valued by customers for its compact, lightweight design, and its high-capacity power that allows multiple device charges. Its fast charging technology coupled with its ability to hold charge for long periods make it a reliable companion for travel and prolonged outdoor activities. The product, however, received some criticisms for not having a built-in cable and having a slightly longer recharging time.

Pros

  • 🎒 Ultra-compact, lightweight design making it easily portable
  • 🔋 High capacity of 10000mAh allowing for multiple device charges
  • ⚡ High-speed charging technology for quickly powering up devices
  • 🕓 Long lasting battery suitable for travel and outdoor activities

Cons

  • 🔌 No built-in cable necessitating to carry an additional charging cable
  • ⏱ Longer time taken to recharge the power bank itself

Should I Buy It?

If you highly value the portability and long battery life of a power bank, the Anker PowerCore 10000 is a worthwhile investment. Although it lacks a built-in cable and may take a bit longer to recharge, the convenience of having a reliable power source on-the-go far outweighs these minor setbacks.

I have both the powercore 10000(black usb port) and powercore speed 10000qc(blue usb port). The difference between the 2 is the PC10000 has the Anker Power IQ system to maximize charging speed and the PC10000 speed QC has both the Power IQ and Qualcomm quick charging. There is another anker battery, the powercore 10000 QC(not speed) that has just standard charging and Qualcomm charging and no PowerIQ (I dont have this one but amazon does, it has a green usb port, i wouldnt recommend it because for just a couple $ more you can get the PC10000 speed QC and have both QC and PowerIQ which you will be grateful for everytime you use it on a non QC device.) The best way is to tell them apart is the color coded usb port. I have put both of them through their paces over the past few months including 3 festivals where they were pretty much my only source of power. So first let me start off with this, if you don't have a qualcomm quick charge device then stop looking and buy this battery. Its literally a perfect combination of size, capacity and speedy charging for a ridiculously great price. On top of that ive been an Anker customer for years and they really do stand by their warranty and have great customer service in the even that you do have an issue. (this is really important to me because no matter what brand batteries can be unpredictable and its always good to have a good warranty with them. The Power IQ system actually does make this thing charge faster than most batteries, and a bunch of my wall plugs for that matter. Even on my less intelligent devices I get great charging speeds But its not as fast quick/turbo charging if you have a QC compatible device. It lives up to its capacity charging my massive 4000mah cellphone battery twice with some to spare (this is equivalent to about 4 iphones). Its plastic has a soft feel to its and its rounded corners go well with pockets or even just holding in your hand, its a tough little thing too, survived a few drops already. I love the little pouch it comes with, if you look you can actually read the power level indicator through the pouch so you dont even have to take it out to check it or use it.. Ive used it to charge literally 3 and a half people phones before it finally gave out, run LED strips for DAYS straight, even charge my vape. the only reason to consider anything else in this capacity range would be if you have a qualcomm quickcharge capable device. In that case id recommend checking out the PC speed 10000 QC with the blue usb, its about $10 more and it adds the ability to use high speed quick charging. Ive tested it and it works great, activating quick charge mode and giving my phone a quick boost. The PC speed 10000 QC is roughly 1/4 inch longer than the PC10000 but identical otherwise and its not noticeable unless you directly compare them. Both of these are premium devices at a bargain price so hit buy it now! ... show more

  • Excellent for Intended Uses

I've had many similar batteries over the past several years, many of them good ones. But this battery stands above them all. The size and weight of this battery is much smaller and lighter than the product description led me to believe - which is a GOOD thing! Unlike claims made by my previous batteries, this one is truly portable. Whether in my pocket (any pocket on any article of clothing) or held in my hand, it goes everywhere with me. I use it to charge my iPhone X on long days and it works perfectly. Fast charging time with plenty to spare. The Battery, itself, recharges in a satisfactory amount of time - though not as fast as the battery recharges my iPhone. But that's not a problem for me, as I recharge all my devices overnight. Between my initial overnight iPhone charge and Anker's charged battery, I'm covered for the entire day and have no need to charge this Anker battery during the day. The only thing I wish it had was an additional charging port to charge more than one device at a time. But for my use, the one port is fine. This is an awesome product on every level. I Highly recommend you keep the Anker with you on days of anticipated heavy phone use. One final note. 1. I buy a new phone about once every year or two. I have purchased a number of battery cases. Perhaps 10-15 of them. I love the idea, but the ones I've tried have failed miserably on the points I've discussed herein. First, many are difficult to install on the phone; some require you to push the phone into the battery case in a manner such that the bottom connectors align and connect. This is simple compared to removing the battery case from the phone without breaking off the connector inside battery case. I think I'm kinda a gentle guy, but I've broken off at least two of these connectors in the past several years. Moreover, EVERY battery case I've purchased has failed to take a charge longer than 6 months. 2. I have not found a battery case that is comfortable to hold when attached to the phone (remember, battery cases only work when attached to the back of the phone, whereas this Anker is a stand-alone charger). The product descriptions of most battery cases tout them as being light and easy to hold; further claiming it will recharge your battery at least once per charge, depending on the strength of the battery case. I have never found a battery case that when attached to my phone was comfortable to hold and small enough to fit in any pocket. The more powerful the battery case, the bulkier the phone with battery attached. I highly RECOMMEND, at least for the time being (until technology catches up) you steer away from battery packs and use a small stand-alone battery, such as the Anker or a similar sized one. If you need an external battery that meets this Anker's specs and uses, I know you will be very pleased with owning one. David ... show more
