So I live in a drafty house with someone who likes to keep the heat on at 62 in the winter. The bathroom plugs don't work, and I have to use an extension cord to get a space heater into the bathroom. Now, the bathrooms are rather small. Because of that, larger heaters are not always the best choice, as they're easy to trip on. I used to have a Delongi Safeheat bathroom heater, but i tripped on it so many times, it finally broke. Also, given that I'm using a 2 prong light duty extension cird I do not feel comfortable using a full powered 1500w heater. This small 500w heater is absolutely perfect. It meets all of my requirements and provides just the right amount of heat. It is a small, low wattage heater that takes up no more space than a Lasko MyHeat, while providing 2.5x the heating power. This unit produces just enough heat to take the chill out of the air and make going to the bathroom comfortable and satisfying. No more violent shivering on the toilet every morning!! This is also a huge upgrade from the tiny Lifesmart 350w heater I was using prior to purchasing this unit. The only downside to this heater is that it doesn't have a thermostat, but you don't really need one with this heater being a low wattage unit. I previously bought another 500w heater with a thermostat, and had to return it because it was some cheap Chinese brand that smelled horrendously of burning plastic and VOCs. It was so bad that I was actually getting dizzy from the smell. This heater without a thermostat is a far better unit than the low wattage heaters with thermostats. I always stick to name brand heaters now. And even though most common name brand heaters are made in china, they don't seem to have the offgassing/melting plastic issue that the actual Chinese brands do. So clearly the established heater brands have a higher level of quality control than the Chinese brand heaters do. ... show more

This is such a useful little heater. I have it in my gazebo, and now I can go out there on cool mornings and be comfortable without having to start a fire or use the larger gas heater. That tiny little unit does a great job. I sort of wish the fan was on a separate switch than the heating element, so it would double as a little cooling fan. Maybe a feature to consider for the future? ... show more

Purchased for my small bathroom that does have a heater vent. My bathroom is so cold especially during the winter months. It keeps my bathroom warm and cozy when getting out of a warm shower. When choosing a electric heater I was looking for it to 1) actually heating a smaller space 2) Safety, this automatically shuts off when moving it or in the event it should fall over and 3) Reasonably priced. This little heater meet all three required. It doesn't have a temperature control feature which I would typically look for although for the small space I use it in its powerful enough to keep the temperature perfect, not to hot and not to cool. During winter, I get up early to be in my home office working for 4 hrs. I don't want to heat up my whole house so, I used this heater. So far, this heater was very reliable on giving me enough warmth and I'm telling you how comfortable using it. It very easy to turn on when I needed it and turn off when I got enough. Material: The heater is made of high quality material, I wouldn't even believe it is made of ceramic because it feels and the weight looks more metal. The power indicator is helpful. It's a big plus for safety when it tip over it actually turn off automatically. They thought a lot making designing this having a floor mat to stand on it's own.
