I was looking for a fountain to warm up my depressing, windowless work office, and to help calm me and my patients. This has been just perfect, and I am very happy with it! It is small enough to fit on a bookshelf, very easy to assemble, and the motor is surprisingly quiet once you put enough water into it--quieter than fountains I've bought in the past. You can hear the water trickling, which is relaxing. The changing LED is a nice touch. The base is made of plastic but it seems sturdy and low risk of leaking. The top is made of a hard plastic that looks like rock. Sure, it's not super realistic but it's good enough for me, especially at this excellent price. The small size makes it very easy to dump out the water at the end of the day (which I do to prevent hard water build-up and mildew). This fountain is a good size for a table decoration. It helps me make my bedroom peaceful and spa-like; as I want it. Turning it on and using it throughout the day when I want it easy. I enjoy using it when I meditate or just want to relax!

This little fountain is easy to assemble and looks like the images shown. However, when running it sounds like either a dog lapping water or a toilet with a bad flapper valve.

I bought this for my son, for his birthday. I was a little concerned about some reviews that said the motor was loud, but I liked the looks of it, and the price was right, so I got it. Well I am happy to say that it's just perfect and my son loves it! It's quiet, and all that can be heard (aside from a small hum that's not very noticeable) is the sound of tranquil, trickling water. It's so beautiful too, and he uses it all the time! It's been running now for four months straight, with no issues! I am considering getting one for me too, and I'm so glad that I found this one for him! ... show more
