I’ve bought various tabletop and larger waterfalls over the years and this one is the BEST by far! Easy to assemble with clear instructions, including water and pump maintenance, with a very relaxing water sound and no pump noise at all. The lights look great at night in a dark room. 100% satisfied and highly recommended! As far as the negative reviews, unfortunately on occasion there may be shipping damage depending on how the package was handled. Mine arrived in great condition with no damage. The pump noise should NOT be heard and before returning this product, carefully read the instructions to make sure the pump is pushed to the bottom of the water reservoir and then fill up with 0.4 gallons or 6 cups of distilled water. If the pump is NOT fully or is barely submerged in water, it will make noise. If the pump is still noisy after carefully following the directions, the pump is likely defective. ENJOY!!! ... show more

Received and set up was easy. Worked right off and has a pleasant sound. Lights are bright and at night create an interesting light pattern. After running for two days, had some issues. Lights were dim and pump barely moved water. If I disconnected the lights the motor ran fine. Reconnecting the lights, had bright lights that dimmed and motor loss power. Instead of trying to box item up and return it to Amazon, I went on Alpines Corporation web sight, and made a warranty claim. I filled in the claim form and sent it electronically. In my email I restated what had happened. Within two days (on a Saturday) I received a response from a customer service representative. She, right off, processed my claim and offered to replace the lights and pump. Within five days of my initial inquiry the parts were shipped. Through UPS. I received them fairly quickly, UPS had a delay. Everything works well and I am happy with the product and Alpine Corporation. They stood behind the product and sent me the necessary parts to have it working again. I highly recommend the product and the company. The representative was very polite and attentive to my issues and quickly resolved the matter. Again, this is a nice table top fountain. It is pleasant to watch and creates a relaxing atmosphere. I am going to use it in a vivarium. It is made of good quality. There were some pieces that rattle in side, left over from manufacturing, but were easily removed.     • The Pump Motor is too Noisy

The media could not be loaded. I love the way it looks. I like the water sound. The only problem is that the sound of the pump motor is just as loud as the water trickling. It's rather annoying. Is this what others are calling 'a quiet motor'? If I have a bad motor, it would be nice to know. I like the fountain enough that I'm tempted to just buy another motor, but the thought of taking it apart and trying to install a new one makes me cringe. 11/5/22 Update. I've had this in my office since the purchase for no other reason that I've not had the desire to bother with another motor. I have used it on and off since then. I've had to knock this down to a single star, though. The main reason is leaking. It's leaked a few times now. The leak split my $50 wood tray that I bought for the fountain. I can glue that, so it's not that big of a deal, but it's frustrating. See attached photo. You need a flashlight to look into the reservoir to be able to see at what level the water is at. There is no marker so you really don't know if you're at the right level or over the level. This just isn't worth the hassle. It looks great, but the functionality is subpar at best. I've decided to try a fountain that has a separate reservoir where I can simply lift the fountain off of the bowl when needed and can easily see the water level. This fountain is a single moulded piece with a tiny sliding door in the back that you can't even fit your entire hand into to reach the motor. The instructions show a pump with an adjustable flow rate. Mine came without a flow rate switch, so I can't adjust the flow. Because of the discrepancy, I did not give 5 stars. I like the amount of water regardless of not being able to adjust the flow, and it produces a nice sound for a 12X15 room. The rim is damp in the bottom/main basin, but after 8 hours of running, there was no over splash. On the shelf or the floor. The material is fairly heavy and it seems to be a nice color/quality. It fits in with the room colors and plants at my desk. It was mostly assembled. All I had to do was un pack, connect light connector, fill with water and plug it in. Very minimal. It is a tight squeeze getting the pump in and out with your hand and I had to use a pen to get the pump placed and pull the pump out by the cord. My hand would not fit in side. I can't reach an octave on a piano, but my hand muscles are fairly developed. The lights are better in pictures, but it is really nice. ... show more

This fountain is actually quite lovely. The sound is subtle and on the lowest setting it works really well. It does not splash and the water well stays full for a week plus. The company was super responsive when the first fountain that I received was defective. It leaked from the bottom and the middle. I am pretty sure that it had been used before. The company was very responsive via text messages and went ahead and sent me another one which works great. ... show more

I love the waterfall! Looks great! With that being said, please make sure to read the manual. A VERY IMPORTANT part. . . be sure and set the pump switch BEFORE you add water and close it up. My setting was all the way to the right. . . the water just barely dripped out. Opened it up and switched it to the LEFT. Worked great!! The top LED light was a little bright, so I added a rock in front. . . (water still ran perfect) This waterfall gets a full 5 stars!! Alpine waterfalls are awesome! ... show more
