This car is a blast. Don't care how old you are, it's just fun. Easy enough the boys can steer it and make it go where they want. it'll traverse all sorts of obstacles and survive falls or abuse. It's not super great battery life, but in fairness, it goes FAST and it uses power to go so fast. But they give you 2 batteries so you can keep going for a while. More than enough time for a 5 and 6 year old. It's so cool if i had time i'd get one for myself. :) You'll be happy if you get one of these. This is a great beginners RC car, with easy to use controls and good tires for both indoor and outdoor use. The batteries charge quickly, and it comes with a spare battery so that you can use it constantly. A couple of notes: the manual states that it's amphibious vehicle - that's a typo. You definitely don't want to send this into water. Also, the battery door requires the use of a screw driver (which is supplied) - not a huge deal, but it would be nice if it was easier to access the battery bay. Otherwise, it's a fun car for a child or adult to play with. Update: Car malfunctioned but worked with manufacturer to resolve issue. ... show more

I was looking for something to entertain and exercise my three dogs. In the past RC vehicles have always been a great solution. The only downside is that the pups really go after it and previous purchases have not fared well over time. This little beast is the best one I've ever bought. It is extremely tough and rugged. The dogs constantly flip it over, but it runs just as well upside-down. The remote is extremely responsive and easy to use. And it has a feature where it sort of bounces back and turns slightly whenever in runs into a obstacle. This turns out to be really handy whenever it runs underneath furniture and you lose sight of it. Instead of having to get down on hands and knees and dig it out, you just have to keep working the controls and it eventually comes scooting back out again. The dogs are crazy about it and they literally cannot destroy it. It does go through a charge pretty quickly, but it comes with two rechargeable batteries, so when one dies you just swap it out with the other one. The only problem I've really had with it is when running on carpets it tends to pick up lots of dog fur which gets wound round the wheels. It will eventually slow it down significantly, or even stop it from running altogether. But you just have to take a break and pull all the fur out from around the axles and it's ready to roll again. ... show more

Battery life is awesome. It goes over everything. But the controls make it difficult for small movements. My 8 year old thinks it's really fun but gave up on it quickly because of controls. It's nice it doesn't get stuck easily.
