Exactly what I was looking for. We will be using this on our 3 week trip in New Zealand to keep items safe while we hike and travel around. Looks and feels like a book but when you open the cover the metal lock box is inside. its large enough to hold whatever we might need to. Defiantly larger inside then I expected (our electronics travel storage pouch just to show how big it really is inside). These safe keeping dictionary boxes are amazing. The only thing is that sometimes that glue is not strong enough and the book detaches from the box. It’s a simple fix but it’s something that the buyer has to do. But once it’s glued it’s good to go. Make a great decoy when added to a bookshelf.

I have found the this book. Secret box is wonderful for my niece. I'm a mom of young children with allergies. So I use it to hide my secret stash of chocolate in my bookshelf where they are safe from little stealing hands. You might ask yourself. Is it really necessary? It absolutely is!! My daughter has way of finding every scrap of food in any corner of the house. She is mischievous and too smart for my own good. The fake book safe box has allowed me to enjoy my chocolate in peace once they've gone to sleep. Now if you want to know about the box itself, it's easy to use. It's sturdy and personally I don't use the key cuz it's just a hiding spot. It blends really well with the rest of my books and it's very unattractive for little 3-year-olds. So if you're a mom of toddler looking for somewhere to hide your favorite chocolates where they can't steal, then definitely get it. Now if you want to hide anything else, I don't know what to tell you. I guess it would work mostly for uneducated robbers. ... show more

It was delivered promptly. The quality was a little lacking. The cover of the book was not attached. The glue had come loose. I was able to glue it back on, so it is still usable. The locking part was still intact. So the cover is just cosmetic.
