I’ve owned several named brand jig saws during my 73 years all of which were electric. Most were good saws I suppose. Some of the cheaper saws were difficult to keep sawing on the line intended, and some would bog down even with soft wood, but most eventually got the job done. Noting that I have not used this battery operated saw yet, my first impression is that they pretty much knocked it out of the park. It cut like a hot knife cutting soft butter, smooth, easy to manipulate, etc. I did get it at a great prime deal price, but I really like my saw.     • Surprisingly Good. BUT BE CAREFUL REMOVING THE BAG THAT’S INSIDE THE BOX.
I debated spending more to get a different brand jigsaw, but since I’ve been buying a lot of tools lately, I decided to “settle” for this one. Well, no regrets. It’s a great saw, and comes with the battery, charger, and blades. But just be careful: those blades don’t stay in the little baggies they’re shipped in.     • Haven't had it long but so far I love it
Very sturdy, good power nice Features. Maybe a little heavy but once you set it down on your wood there's no problem. So far I really like it . Going to buy one for me son. UPDATE: After using saw for about an hour on and off I found out the Bevel plate is not very secure and has a tendency to make the saw lean if your not paying attention. This doesn't make me happy but I will keep it just would not buy another one. ... show more

I like everything about this jigsaw! The price was amazingly low at the time I purchased and it works wonderfully well. I've used it several times and have used it to cut out a 2 ft circle from 3/4 inch plywood and it handled it perfectly. I've had it for 8 months and would purchase it again.

    • Cordless orbital jigsaw with convenience features (tool-less blade change and bevel adjustment)
Full disclosure: My previous jig saw was/is an ancient Craftsman corded jig saw, an "affordable" model. So this modern Denali cordless jig saw had unfair advantages in impressing me with its various modern features. (I'm afraid my old Craftsman may be finally headed to the jig saw heaven.) Aside from being cordless, this saw offers the convenience of tool-less blade change and tool-less bevel adjustment, something I used to have to use a screwdriver each time. Now it's so much easier and faster! As for power, I have to reserve my final judgment until I have tried it on hardwood. (On mostly soft woods so far, it felt more than up to the tasks.) The only thing I wish it had (but doesn't) would be a laser guide light. (I see some competitions with this feature, and I always thought it would be a nice feature to have when making a straight cut.) I really like this jig saw. So I'm giving it 5 stars. ... show more

    • Great Cordless Jigsaw tool with a few jigsaws included for immediate use
I really liked using the Denali by SKIL 20V Cordless Jig Saw Kit. The kit comes with everything I needed to start. There's a single battery, a charging dock, the Jig Saw, and several saws to use too. The Jig Saw itself seems powerful and is easy to use. I love the easy locking mechanism for changing out saw blades. It's so much quicker than the older models of Jig Saws that used a screw lock. The quality of both the blades and the tool seem high. This quickly cut through all the wood I through at it. The battery seems to last a good amount of time. It's made it through 2 projects without running out of juice. However, this battery and charger seem to be proprietary. What that means is that I'll have to add another huge clunky charger and another different battery to my tool kits. I hate having to use up so much space to carry around a specific type of charger for a specific type of tool. Why not just make this compatible with DeWalt or Makita batteries, which are the most popular brand of tools?! Minus one-star for that. Still, I do really like this Jig Saw, enough to use up space for its specific charger and specific battery, but I'm going to put serious time into looking for a Makita-to-Denali adapter so I use the rest of my batteries on it.
