I was really happy with these, especially for the price. I looked through quite a few different types of bags and considered size, cost, and the make up of the bags on top (I don't like the ones that just have the flaps that tie). These were a good cost for 50 and were the size I needed. They also had the ties that pull out of the top of the bag. When I got them I was impressed with the thickness and durability. I also like the size, it's perfect. I use these for lawn mowing and I can't carry a bag that holds more than one of my mower bags of clippings. These hold almost exactly one bag of clippings with just enough size leftover to tie the top. I like that there's not a ton of extra space, I hate feeling like I should add extra clippings in order not to waste the large bag. Very happy with these! ... show more

As good as Costco. I didn't use these for yard waste so they might get holes poked in them. For general trash these are all you need. They are not sold as heavy duty and they are not. Just good enough and the ties are very strong.

I’m always trying something new, even when it comes to trash bags. Plus, Amazon is becoming more and more a part of our homes, making life more convenient — so I decided to give the Amazon Basics Multipurpose Drawstring Trash Bags a try. The bags come in a neat box, which makes them easy to store, and they are also easy to tear off the roll. You might think they're just regular trash bags, and that there’s not much else to say, but please, read on. First of all, they are made from a thick, tear-resistant material. I used them for a variety of tasks, from regular household garbage to collecting grass and leaves in my backyard — and not a single tear. However, keep in mind that sharp branches, especially with pointed edges, can still puncture the bag. Secondly, the drawstrings. It’s worth mentioning that they are quite strong too. Trash bag drawstrings usually have the same problem — apply even a little force, and they easily break. But with these Amazon bags, it’s a different story — you can be sure nothing will tear or stretch out. If you're not quite sure how much 30 gallons is, it’s the right size for a medium trash bin.
