I wanted a WiFi digital picture frame to display tons of photos in my phone and computer. I did a little research, and I found the Aluratek ADMPF208F 8-inch Hi-Res WIFI Digital Photo Frame. So I purchased it and love it. It's easy to set up and use. You can download an app to send your phone directly, or share photos your Facebook and twitter accounts directly to the frame. Also, you can use USB drive or SD Card for playing your photos, videos, and music. The frame displays every photo correctly, automatically arranging it so it fits the screen. The quality of display is pretty beautiful. I run the slide show, and the frame has several effects when changing pictures, such as a zoom out old picture, zoom in new, and a fade out old picture, slide in new picture. The day, date, and current time show nicely on the top of the frame, and the frame turns off at the designated time, and back on at the designated time. And also the frame has alarm function. I am completely satisfied and actually pleased with the functionality of this frame. I was going to buy this from Best Buy but ordered online at Amazon. With free Prime why not get it delivered for free! About this WIFI frame, it’s so convenient to be able to send photos or even short videos right from my iPhone via Aluratek Smart Frame app. Binding my phone to the frame was so easy. But I forgot where I put my wireless password so make sure you know before setting up the frame. Also makes sure you have a stable WIFI connection. I don’t use Facebook and other social media to push photos but those options are certainly there. I also like the fact my pictures aren’t being stored on the cloud for security reasons. Excellent clear resolution for 8” screen size and the best of all it is touchscreen. I’m keeping this one at my work desk and I also connected my sister to this frame so when she’s traveling with her kids, she can wirelessly send pictures of kids and adventures me. I’m thinking of buying couple more, larger size Aluratek WIFI frames to give to my parents. Then have all my siblings bound to the frame to send pictures of all the kids for grandma and grandpa to enjoy. I don’t get the negative reviews, I’m sure some people have difficulties setting up WIFI devices but this is a winner. For the good, picture display is nice. Unit was easy to set up. Touchscreen and buttons on back of the unit make navigating the menus easy. Handful of customization options. Directions that come with the frame are clear and explain how to load pictures onto the frame. The downsides: the frame is compatible with an smartphone app to load pictures. I used the android version of the app. It froze while trying to look through old photos - works fine if you want to send any of your most recent (30ish) photos but crashes while trying to scroll to older shots. Turning the phone on and off again fixed issue for a short while. You can also supposedly send photos via email; that never worked for me. There's another option for wireless connecting to a PC, that never worked for me either. You can transfer photos via SD card or USB stick which seems to be the easiest option. Didn't try the import from facebook option. So conclusion decent enough frame for the price but I wished the app and/or email photos to frame worked better. ... show more

    • Wow! Such an improvement over our old one!

Instead of our photos being stored in albums or boxes, we get to see them on random rotation every day (this sits on our kitchen island). We get to remember that 1990-ish Christmas morn' when our little kiddos were so delighted with what was under the tree, that day we hiked the Cinque Terre, the life and times of our extended families, and that of childhood, high school, and college friends over so many (yikes!) years. We had an Aluratek digital photo frame from about 2006 that scrolled our digital photos until just this week when it finally just stopped working. With such an impressive life of this product, we went straight back to this brand. The new frame is amazing! Wifi, superb picture quality (color and clarity really pop), easy to load up, a timer so it doesn't run when we are asleep. You can connect Facebook and Twitter, your phone and your laptop and push photos right to it. If you are looking for quality and all the amenities you could ever need in such an item -- go with Aluratek. You won't regret it. Seller delivered on time and with no damage to box or product.     • Loved it--till it stopped working

I loved this at first. I had pictures of my family loaded and was able to watch them all day. Then one day, suddenly, it stopped working. The screen went black and I haven't been able to use it since. I contacted customer service and they suggested my electric cord was bad. After a LOT of back and forth emails and me shipping the broken frame back, they sent a replacement unit. The replacement NEVER worked. I contacted customer service again and asked for my money back. They said they would talk to a supervisor and get back to me. I'm writing this review five months after my first contact with them. This product is junk and customer service is a hoax!
