I was going to buy this from Best Buy but ordered online at Amazon. With free Prime why not get it delivered for free! About this WIFI frame, it’s so convenient to be able to send photos or even short videos right from my iPhone via Aluratek Smart Frame app. Binding my phone to the frame was so easy. But I forgot where I put my wireless password so make sure you know before setting up the frame. Also makes sure you have a stable WIFI connection. I don’t use Facebook and other social media to push photos but those options are certainly there. I also like the fact my pictures aren’t being stored on the cloud for security reasons. Excellent clear resolution for 8” screen size and the best of all it is touchscreen. I’m keeping this one at my work desk and I also connected my sister to this frame so when she’s traveling with her kids, she can wirelessly send pictures of kids and adventures me. I’m thinking of buying couple more, larger size Aluratek WIFI frames to give to my parents. Then have all my siblings bound to the frame to send pictures of all the kids for grandma and grandpa to enjoy. I don’t get the negative reviews, I’m sure some people have difficulties setting up WIFI devices but this is a winner. I purchased this photo frame because our other photo frame just stopped working. I was a little concerned about buying another photo frame, because we did not use our old one that much due to the fact that it was so hard and time consuming to upload the pictures. I'm so glad I bought the Aluratek..... it is GREAT! The setup was so easy! They have QR codes and an app that do most of the set up work for you. I think the best part about the frame is the Wifi capability. It makes everything so convenient. You just connect it to your phone and you can quickly and easily send the photos straight to you frame. I also really like the touch screen functionality. It immediately recognizes each touch (I have to press some of the touch screen products I have many times for it to recognize my touch), which makes it easy to navigate through the menu settings. It's also neat to have the weather forecast on the frame. This frame would also be perfect to buy for relatives that live out of state. You can connect and send photos to the their frame! Simply terrible. I bought this for my mom for Xmas since she likes to share her pictures but isn’t great with tech. I initially tried to troubleshoot why some of the photos were showing up pixelated but ran into further problems. I couldn’t upload any more photos from what they had initially uploaded or bind my phone even after resetting it to factory settings three times. The apps User Interface is terrible. It kept saying “wait for confirmation”. Ok?? From where??? The frame gave no indication or location to confirm the binding. Get this if you want an overpriced alarm clock. Obviously returning this overpriced trash. ... show more

For the good, picture display is nice. Unit was easy to set up. Touchscreen and buttons on back of the unit make navigating the menus easy. Handful of customization options. Directions that come with the frame are clear and explain how to load pictures onto the frame. The downsides: the frame is compatible with an smartphone app to load pictures. I used the android version of the app. It froze while trying to look through old photos - works fine if you want to send any of your most recent (30ish) photos but crashes while trying to scroll to older shots. Turning the phone on and off again fixed issue for a short while. You can also supposedly send photos via email; that never worked for me. There's another option for wireless connecting to a PC, that never worked for me either. You can transfer photos via SD card or USB stick which seems to be the easiest option. Didn't try the import from facebook option. So conclusion decent enough frame for the price but I wished the app and/or email photos to frame worked better. ... show more

It was so easy to download the APP and bind my phone to the frame. You just have to follow the steps and read the manual. The touch-screen is extremely responsive and high resolution. I gave it as a gift to my grandma who loves looking at our kids’ photos. I also connected my brother’s smartphone to this frame so he can also send photos of his kids. I can’t speak for everyone but the process to setup was super easy for me. ... show more

The instructions are reasonably OK to set up assuming one reads them very carefully. The app worked for awhile started refusing the user name/password. I finally gave up and have resorted to loading everything up through email. Tedious, but at least it works. Very nice response from tech support...except the response didn't address the issue. Very frustrating. Pictures OK. ... show more

What a great frame and idea. I purchased this frame for a family member so myself and my wife can share our photo's and videos in real time. The set up was painless and quick. Now when we take photos or video clips I can easily send them over to this device. I'm going to purchase another one for my wife's office. As sharing pics via texting gets lost in our sea of photos. This lets me cherry pic the best ones of the kids for her to enjoy at work. It's also a nice little surprise when new ones show randomly. The quality of the resolution is great and touch panel is responsive. I don't really look too much into the technical aspects, this really impressed me as it was a unique way to share and store personal images and videos without social media. ... show more
