  • Very sturdy and comfortable
I think the people having issue with this being short are either 6'5 plus or placing their butt too high when they lay it more flat. Also, I saw someone mention you have to unscrew the knob to adjust it... that is not the case, easy pull and slide. Doesn't wobble at all, I'm about 5'11 200 and use up to 75lb dumbbells. ... show more

  • Sturdy bench, annoying to make incline adjustments
I like that the bench is sturdy and padding is thick. My biggest complaint is that adjusting the incline requires you to unscrew the knob completely and align the new position just right so that the screw threads catch properly. It isn't a big deal if you mostly keep the bench in the same position. It gets annoying if you plan to change the incline during each workout. Assembly was easy with the exception of installing the stud bolt that has to pass through multiple holes. I wasn't able to get the bolt completely in with my hands but I was able to get it mostly in position and then force it through by tightening one nut while holding the other side. Using your own socket wrench set makes things easier. ... show more

  • Parents love it!
Got this to add to my parents at home gym and it fits great in there! They both use it and it's pretty sturdy too. I even tried it myself and the seat feels pretty comfortable to lay and sit on! Definitely get this!

  • Expensive, but the quality is worth the price....very stable and sturdy
I've been an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist for over 20 years with multiple degrees and have worked in a lot of training centers, gyms and health clubs. I've used plenty of commercial grade equipment in these places, as well as the typical low end "home gym" equipment and the quality, sturdiness and heft of the higher end stuff is obvious....that's why it costs so much more. This bench is a prime example of that...yet, it is affordable enough for the home gym enthusiast who is looking for a QUALITY, STURDY adjustable bench that is WAY nicer than the typical $100 benches that all tend to be wobbly and cheaply made with thin gauge steel and "looseness" that just doesn't feel good when you sit back with a set of heavy dumbbells....you want to feel COMPLETELY stable, and with this bench, you will! This bench is very stable, and very hefty....indicating thick steel and strict build tolerances. The padding is thick and much sturdier and you can just see and feel the difference in quality and will understand immediately why this bench is closer to $250....it's worth the price IF you are willing to pay extra to get that commercial gym level quality for your home gym. The adjustment knobs are large and easy to manipulate. The seat and the backrest are adjustable, giving you the ability to find just the perfect angle on both for the exercise being performed. Being able to angle the seat really helps you "lock in" to the bench when hoisting those hefty dumbbells....making it not only more comfortable, but SAFER. This bench is not light, so the wheels on the back make moving it around your workout area easy simply by picking up the front and rolling it around...just like the commercial gym benches you see at your local fitness centers. This is commercial gym quality! Some other reviewers are complaining that it doesn't decline....why would you need it to? If you're going to use it for decline presses you also going to need a shin pad, so you don't go sliding down the bench with the weight above your head...THAT'S NOT WHAT THIS BENCH WAS INTENDED FOR!!! This is that "extra" utility bench you see in commercial gyms, NOT the one used primarily for bench pressing....it's for should presses, overhead triceps extensions (which the shorter backrest makes doable). I like the shorter overall length...it's has just enough length for "most" normal sized adults (sorry, if you're 6'6", you might find it too short). And, it will take up slightly less room in your home gym. This bench is as nice, or even nicer (better made) than some of the stuff I currently use at my local gym. You won't be disappointed with the quality, even if you are hesitating at the price. Professional level...all the way!!! This will be the last bench you ever buy, as far as quality is concerned! ... show more

  • Quite pleased with this so far
Really quite a nice bench! I'm pleased with it so far. I particularly love how many options I have to adjust the angle. Way more than most! It's also nice that there is lots of free space around the ankles to avoid hitting and tripping over.
