  • Alpine stereo
Makes speakers sound crisp ( original stocked speakers 06 ) fits perfectly. Money worth it Everything you need on a stereo very satisfied.

  • Really, Really nice... Nice price and nice sound.
So I bought a plow truck for the winter... nothing special, just a 20 year old F250 with a bench seat and AM radio. I said to myself, who cares that its a 20 year old truck... what matters is my other truck stays in the garage away from the salt. I said to myself... why not splurge on a radio to make the time behind the wheel, sitting on that bench seat halfway enjoyable... So I find this radio... pure non-mechanical... all digital... ok, I stick a thumb drive into it... thumb drives dont scratch... I paired it with a couple of JBL speakers for anther $100 and I have a kicking system in an old beater. The menu was easy to navigate... at first I wanted to change the LEDs to match my factory "green" gauge lights... you can do that, but then I decided to stop being so OCD and just go default blue... however every now and again, I will catch a reflection of the deck in my window or something and see a blue light... just saying... For the price you cannot be dissapointed... great sound, easy to operate, good price... just not all fancy flat panel DVD stuff... ... show more

  • Great unit!
Bought this for my son cause his stereo in his 2001 Toyota was very outdated. He loves this!

  • 2000 Road KIng
The stereo was fairly easy to install. I did you a weatherproof enclosure so there was a bit more figuring to get the stereo integrated to the enclosure. I found out after I wired it that the yellow wire from the battery is necessary for the unit to work. The old school stereos I use to put in didn't require a direct 12v source unless you wanted to keep the memory for the clock or preset radio stations. The stereo sounds really good. I was going to add an amp, but I ran out of room in the fairing. I am running 6x9 speakers. Seems like it will have enough power to hear it while traveling at faster speeds. I would recommend this Alpine stereo. The price was right, and it works great. ... show more

  • Great stereo
This unit has enough power to stand alone unless you like it really loud. It has a bass engine with multiple stages to adjust to any kind of listening preferences. Worth every penny!

  • So far....
At first the radio wasnt putting out power, then no sound. I initiated a return, and counldnt reach the seller. Amazon wanted me to return the unit, with all the wiring. Stupid process, as id have to buy another harness adapter. I was not pleased. After a secondary inspection, i found out the 10 fuse on the back was defective. As in not even joined at the barbs, but showing a joined fuse point. New fuse and we are good to go. Connectivity is slow, and you must reconnect everytime the battery is shut off. Aside from that, so far so good. ... show more

  • Don't pass on this unit.
I had a double Din stereo 2 years ago ($350). It didn't last and it wouldn't connect to my phone. Although it had many options there was no point if it wouldn't connect. These days our phones keep moving forward and our head units become obsolete within a year or two. It's no one's fault because they are two different entities. This time I went back to a single Din willing to "downgrade". The only thing I lost was the backup camera feature and having an equilizer with more options for the sound. For the price I paid I got a better sound from this unit and I would recommend it. My first stereo was an Alpine when I was 18 I am 33 now and I am not disappointed. I don't know why I swayed from them. I've had 3 stereos with this one and the first 2 are still working as hand me downs. As much as I love Bluetooth and hands free calling I am going hardwire. The Bluetooth is not cutting it for high quality. I've researched a bit and if you want that hi-fi sound you will be spending $600+ and I am ok with that. I'll use my speaker on my phone. When I used the BT in call feature it was clear and my cousin said he could hear everything. Alpine advertises it is a clear sound and I agree. It could be where I placed it. But either way we are in a good time because the developers are now understanding our needs at every $level$. I love this head unit and can't knock any stars off of it. ... show more
