  • Not self adhesive like contact paper...
If you're looking for something actually self adhesive like contact paper, this is not it. This is static cling. It works just like every other static cling one where it's "easy" to install because you just get the window wet and can reposition it, but also stupid and frustrating because the static cling is too efficient so you spend a half an hour wrestling with your window. If you teach junior high like I do, you may want to keep looking for the real sticky stuff since you know as soon as this stuff forms a bubble or starts to fall down those kids are going to start picking at it. ... show more

  • More frosted than I expected!
I really didn't know what to expect as far as how frosted and opaque this covering would be. I have two very narrow, 7" wide by 75" tall side windows by my back door. This film lets the light through during the day, by adds all of the privacy that I was hoping for. It literally took me minutes to apply. Take your time to measure it carefully and use a firm straight edge ruler to mark your cutting line. The extra preparation is well-worth your time. ... show more

  • Impressed for the price
Someone decided to put a window in our shower. It had a blind on it but I hated the look of it and thought it was kind of gross having it in there. I bought this expecting the worst. I recommend cleaning the windows first with some krud kutter. You have no idea how much this will help. I then filled a small spray bottle with Dawn dish soap and water. I sprayed a section of the window at a time. I then cut sections of the vinyl, leaving some overhang on two of the sides. I then unpeeled the vinyl and sprayed the back of it (the sticky side) as I peeled. This allows it to not stick to itself and be able to adjust on the window once it's on there. I placed on the window and used a credit card (because I couldnt find a squeegee) and carefully removed the bubbles. Once I had it mostly set down, I used a blow dryer on high speed to dry it to the window while still using the credit card for any pesky bubbles. Once I felt like it was mostly stuck down, I used a knife to trim the excess. It did come up a bit in the corners but in those spots I used scissors to trim the corners and then used the credit card to lay them back down. There were a couple spots on the glass that when I ran the card over it, it tore the vinyl. This is quite thin so make sure you clean those windows. The first piece I did on the lower frame, had a small tear so I took it off but when I got to the top I didnt have enough vinyl to finish so I ended up having to use that piece. All in all, I'm quite happy with how it came out. It allows nice light through but you cannot see out of it. Take your time, clean those windows first and you'll get a nice result. Hope this is helpful and good luck! ... show more

  • Sun Blocker film.
The media could not be loaded. Slow down. Cut larger, trim and it’s done. Blocks the sun out.

  • Maybe Helpful Tips - From Me To You
It looks great and does the trick! Before, I had shades on my bath window but wanted a more minimal look and the added space for my stuff. Measure the window, cut the adhesive paper. Cut on the side with the lines facing you, that way you can use the lines to guide you in a straight line. Use a ruler and a blade to slice along the lines. I measured a few millimeters or two additional just incase. Make sure your blade is sharp so it doesn’t snag and ruin the edges. Spray both sides like it says in the instruction and spray the window as well. I used window cleaner the first time and I messed it up so I would advise using water like it says. Peel the paper from the backing. Try and do it evenly because if you crease the paper you get a mark. Put on window and smooth with a credit card (or if you have a smoothing tool) and slice the excess off with a sharp blade. The first time I did it, there was some blotchy brown spots so I had to order more. When I removed the blotchy film from the window it left a residue of glue. Just spray and use a blade to scrape residue off glass. I wouldn’t use goop gone to remove the residue. Make sure it’s perfectly cleaned off before reapplying. Hope any of that was helpful. ... show more

  • Slightly tricky but great results
My first attempt on the left window was a little rough. As I was peeling away the backing the film stuck to itself. Luckily I was able to undo it but it left a permanent mark on my finished product. The second attempt on the right window was flawless. Unfortunately, there was not enough film left to re-do the left. I used the Windex method. I thoroughly cleaned and dried my windows. Then I cut the film to size + 1" overage. I then sprayed my windows with more Windex, peeled the top edge of the backing down, applied this top edge to my window, then slowly continued to peel of the backing as I used a squeegee to smooth it. Then used a sharp blade to trim the edges off. ... show more

  • Not Peel-And-Stick!
I have a buffet table with frosted glass — I wanted to add an additional layer of frostedness so that you can’t see the contents inside the buffet table. I took a chance with this contact paper but alas: it was NOT adhesive as advertised. It is the kind of contact paper that you need to wet the glass first, then apply and smooth down. This would work great on normal glass, but as my glass is frosted to begin with, this contact paper did not stick to it. So be warned: this isn’t a peel and stick product, you must use water for it to adhere properly. ... show more

  • NOT self-adhesive
The product is grossly misdescribed. It is not self-adhesive, it is cling film. While the description notes that it is applied with water, many truly self-adhesive materials use water for alignment prior to the adherent forming a bond between the material and surface. Unfortunately, it's now unreturnable due to being cut so we're out $9. ... show more
