  • Awesome company
Size: 13x10 Feet
This company is a great company. I bought 2 13' x 10' awnings, as I have a 26 ft deck. the 1st one took a 4 hours, because we were trying to figure everything out. 2nd one took an hour. the only complaint was there was Bar C did not have a left or right and that is important. that bar is what you put the front of the awning and what the valance of the awning goes in, if that is not put on correct it does not roll out right. Because of that one of the arms bent and almost broke. I contacted Aecojoy and they sent me a replacement awning, not just the bar. it was sent out within a week and a half. We had 0 experience hanging them on my house, we researched how to find the studs under the vinyl siding and that took some doing and watching to make sure they were level. once we got that done it was very Simple. We did watch the video that is on amazon and that made it easier. but not that they are up, very happy with them. Would purchase again!! Very happy!! ... show more

  • Great product
Size: 10x8 Feet
Took awhile to install, other than that it works perfect and looks great! I don't have a covered deck and would like to sit outside if it rains or to get shade. Priced very affordable considering some of the others I looked at! I love the fact that I can have it all the way out or partially!

  • Good quality but a few problems
Size: 13x8 Feet
I have the 13’ x 8’ awning and it seems to be a very good product. I am only giving it a 4 star rating because I have some comments about the assembly instructions and the actual mounting of the awning. The assembly manual does not identify the company that makes this awning, apparently you have to go back to Amazon to determine this. The manual says to contact the customer support line for problems or assistance. The number for this line is not listed. The manufacturer is apparently AECOJOY and I haven’t been able to find the number for the customer support line. I did an inventory of all the parts as suggested. The manual does not identify the two bolts that are used with the pole (item V). They were there but not identified. According to the manual the left arm is to be mounted 15.74” from the left end. Well, DUH, that’s only .01” less than 15.75 (15 ¾) so that’s where I mounted it since I do not have the capability to measure inches in decimal. The right arm is to be mounted 14.17” from the right end. This took a little calculation. Turns out .17” equals 11/64. 12/64 equals 3/16. So I mounted it 14 3/16’ from the end. These are extremely minor amounts and should pose no problem to the operation of the awning (it hasn’t on mine!). The manufacturer should review their manual and rewrite using the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) principle. To mount the bolt holes in brick or masonry (I have brick) the manual calls for a 14mm masonry bit. I don’t have one of those and can’t get one locally (it would have to be ordered). The video shows a .55in bit. 14mm equals 35/64 slightly under 9/16. I don’t have a 9/16 masonry bit but I do have a ½ bit so I decided I could wallow the holes out a bit. That didn’t work, apparently I wallowed out too much farther in and the expansion bolts wouldn’t take hold (they don’t expand that much!) I resolved the problem by using a ½ inch wooden dowel in each hole and used the lag bolts provided for use with a wood wall. Speaking of the holes, the manual says to make the holes approximately 4 inches deep. I don’t know why because the expansion bolts are only 2 5/8 inches long. When mounting the brackets, the manual says to tighten the bolts with a 19mm hex key when it should actually be a 17mm wrench or socket. An S. Kayton wrote a review about this product and stated that the dimensions were in centimeters but identified as inches. I don’t find this to be true. This person also stated that the manual does not tell you which end of the roller tube you should be looking at when you roll the awning onto it in a counterclockwise manner. This is true and does make a difference. If you use the left end of the roller (the side with the inner square shaft) to do this, then when you open the awning, it will unroll over the top of the roller. I used the right end and mine unrolls from the bottom of the roller (see picture). In the manual in the section for adjusting the awning the picture shows the awning over the top of the roller. I also noticed that customer’s pictures show the same thing. I could extend my awning all the way out and keep rolling so it is over the top but don’t think I am going to. I think the awning unrolling from the bottom give me greater leverage when retracting the awning and less chance of bending the arms. I think there is a greater chance of having problems when it comes out over the top because of the angle. A straight pull is better than an angled pull. All in all I believe this is a good product and I’m anxiously waiting for a sunny day to try it out! ... show more

  • Trash
Size: 10x8 Feet
We didn’t even have this a year. Putting it together was problematic because of the directions. We did get it on the house with little issue. We fully extended it and the wind blew. Game over. The awning was flailing around while we hurriedly rolled it up. Then we had to build support devices because that first bit of wind bent something. So now we had to unroll it when we wanted to use it. Set it up on the braces we built off the deck to hold it. Then a gentle breeze again blew it off the braces we made. Then we added hooks to the braces we made to hold it up and keep it level. The first time we used it this spring, a shower came over us out of no where! While rolling it back in, the bolt snapped that held the left arm in place. Half the roll was up and half was all over us and our guest. Picture children crying and old lady’s wringing their hands and begging to get off the deck. Still, we aren’t quitters. We had our kids weld the broken bolt and went to put it back together. As we were doing that, the other bolt broke. So we ripped it off the house and threw it in the trash! We bout hit May 2022 and trashed it June 2023. Now there are holes in the siding and we have no shade. ... show more

  • Awesome Awing FOR THE PRICE
Size: 13x10 Feet
Not sure what everyone is talking about with the installation instructions. I'm an accountant not known for my gifted mechanical ability and I figured it out pretty easily. For the price this thing is awesome. I guess I wouldn't put it out in a strong wind, nor would I with any other awnings. There is somewhat of a dip in the fabric as I have the pitch about as flat as I can get it, adjusting the pitch is very easy and only takes a socket set. Anyhow, rain does collect on mine rather than shed off, but that, I believe, is only a function of the pitch I have it at. I installed on a lake bar about 7' high off the ground [when the optimal height for install is listed at 13']. Hardware is good, install on the building was fairly simple once the awing is together. ... show more
