It stays cool and fabric is so soft and comfortable I don’t really even want to put a pillowcase on it because the fabric that comes in it is more comfortable. It’s soft without losing its shape and still supports my neck properly. I happen to have a lot of piercings in my ears so the hole in the middle for side sleeper ears is amazing to keep them from getting irritated. Will be ordering one for everyone in the house at this point because it’s held up better than regular stuffed pillows. Being able to add or remove the pads to get the right thickness is another thing that sets it apart. I've struggled with shoulder pain recently and have struggled with neck pain for a few years. I've tried so many different pillows that claim to help with neck/shoulder pain and haven't found one I like. When I saw this, I loved the hole in the middle because I tend to sleep on my belly a lot. With this pillow when I'm on my belly my head fits comfortably in the hole area. It almost reminds of of how you law on a head rest getting a massage, but this is MUCH softer and more comfortable. I also love the feature of having the arm pillows attached to the sides of the pillow. When I sleep on my side, or with my shoulders up, this feature adds extra comfort. I cannot say enough positive things about this pillow! I've had a couple of neck/head injuries and I didn't think it was possible to get a good night's sleep &/or wake up the neck morning w/out having pain in my neck and shoulders. I've tried multi styles of "neck pain" pillows, cervical support pillows, my pillows, etc. Pillows I have used in the past do not compare with the Adjustable Height Cervical Neck Pillow. The shape allows my head to rest in the right spot and relives my neck and shoulder pain. It is adjustable! I slept on it for several nights thinking it was close to perfect, but not quite... then I took out the adjustable padding and reached pillow Nirvana. Lately, I can’t get my head in the “right” place on a pillow, and I often wake up with a stiff neck. I’ve tried down, crushed foam, and polyester filled; none of them do the job anymore. I have to say that this pillow is kinda weird; it has interesting curves that took me a few minutes to figure out where my head goes. Also, it’s heavy; it’s not meant to be moved around and squished into the right position. Once I got over my “what the heck is this thing “, I gave it a try. I turn a lot and sleep on both sides and on my back. I had no problem finding the sweet spot (indentation) during my “rotations”, and my neck is well supported in all positions. I’m happy to report that I’ve slept with it for 1 week, and every morning my neck feels fine / not stiff at all. It’s a keeper ... show more

I have severe neck pain. It took a few days to get used to. And about a month before I could finally say my neck pain is way less frequent. Maybe 2 days out of the month where my neck hurt. I was so excited to finally find a pillow that helps my chronic neck pain. But then it just started feeling flat. And my neck pain is back. And you have to order the insert. It should come with it.
