We regularly workout and wanted to add light weight lifting into our regular routine. Unfortunately, we were not sure what set type of weights to get nor did we want to spend a ton of money. We feel lucky that we found this set because this is great for novices to weights. This was super, super easy to setup our first set of dumbbells and a kettle bell. The weights are comfortable for my very small hands, too. We loved the options of adding whatever weights we want to our dumbbells -- which takes just a minute to add or remove them to our liking. They also had several other weight options, which we have not tried out yet, but I know we will once we get used to our setup and ready to try something else. Having options is awesome! I am reviewing the 22Lb set. The versatility of the set is great, changing from one setup to the other is not difficult at all. In my opinion, this set ( the 22lb) would be best suited for teens or the ladies, since even using all the weights together would not be very challenging for a regular sized adult. The most weight would of course be 11 lb each side (5kg), unless of course you get a heavier set then you are good to go. The one thing I didn't like much is that the weights are a little thick, this wont allow to put a lot of them together ot add more self purchased discs unless you buy them thinner, however, even if I were to discard these weights and use others the combination of equipment will still be nice to have. I think it has more plastic than it woul like to, but I think this would be a good starter/casual set. ... show more

These are great. Of course if your looking for 100lbs of weight then this is not what you want. This is more for higher repetition and lower weights. And they work GREAT. You can do pretty much every type of set you want with these weights. I love how you can turn them into kettlebells as well. This just works. I am impressed with this set! What a great value for the price. It comes with 8 dumbbells that are each marked 2.76lbs. They add up to 22 lbs total. I love how adjustable it is. I have a large family and each of us can use this set for lightweight exercise and adjust it as we need it. It eliminates the need for having a bunch of stand alone weights because you can use it as a kettle bell or regular weight set and all different weights depending on how many disks you put on it. ai love this. ... show more

The big claim to fame here is the discs can be attached to different handles, and the handles can interconnect to provide even more options. Unfortunately everything is plastic, and there's no retention hardware. There are plastic washers and plastic nuts that thread onto plastic grips, but shake loose over time. I am not a hardcore worker-outer, which is why I'm looking at cheap plastic weights in the first place, but even a lightweight like me needs more reliable equipment than this. ... show more

I really liked that this weight set had so many options. The package comes nicely wrapped, with each piece wrapped separately so as to protect the items. One of the first things I noticed was how ergonomic the handles were. They feel comfortable in my hands. I also liked how it came with a nut and locking ring. Unfortunately, I found that when I would use the weights, the nuts would come loose, even if I would tighten it firmly. This was frustrating as I would have to tighten the nut after each set because I could feel the weight turning around and coming loose, and it was distracting from the workout. I didn't mind the thicker vinyl weights, thought it made the dumbbells large when I would put on the weights. The handles all seem pretty durable, but because of the nut and locking ring not keeping the weights from coming loose, it really takes away from the product. Other than that, I really liked how I could do different exercises, though I also wish it came with some extra nuts and locking ring in order to switch from dumbbells to kettlebells without having to undo everything. In addition, because the weight kept coming loose, I was very wary of using the kettlebell function as I didn't want the weights to fall off, which I could see happening if I didn't keep tightening the nut. ... show more

I'm older, and it always seems the weights at the gym that I need (lower end) are being used by the younger people. I decided to order this set so I have them at home & can get my arms toned up again without having to wait around for a couple of 5lb sets. I really love how comfortable this set is, and how versatile! This will work for me for quite a while as I don't see myself needing a whole lot more in the near future.
