I basically just tried the product on one ankle. My ankles are 8" and I could only get it tight with all the sandbags in, which is heavy and bulky. I wanted it to use it to play tennis. I also noticed that the velcro's hook part is facing out, which means I can catch things on it, or scratch my opposite leg. I took the first and last bag out and was unable to use the strap to close it enough to be tight. 3 lb was probably the weight I wanted to use, and it didn't work that way, so I can't use it. I am resting it good because the product seems like great quality, but it just didn't work out for me. ... show more

The material doesn’t aggravate my skin and the thickness of the closure really makes for a secure feel around the ankles. I rarely write reviews, but I love these ankle weights so much that I just had to say so. They are very well made and are quite comfortable to wear. I previously bought and returned 2 other pair locally before I found these. The weights inside are filled with little metal pellets so that they don't leak out like the ones that are filled with sand. (Bought/returned one of those) The Velcro strap is long enough so that regardless of your ankle size the strap stays secure and doesn't flop around while exercising. I am 5'2" and 104 lbs with a small ankle and I have no trouble with the weights moving and shifting during my workout. (I bought the ones that are 5 lbs each). The fabric and stitching is very nicely done and appears to be able to withstand rigorous workouts. I would recommend these to anyone shopping for a nice pair of ankle weights. ... show more
