I have to say it’s really a good item. I like camping with friends. This stove can use alcohol and woods. It is convenient for carrying, light and easy to put all the parts together. I tried cooking rice in a pot, grill a piece of steak. We are satisfied with it. The only thing is I need to take more forks because the one come with it are not good enough. This product is so much fun! Myself and a bunch of friends really enjoy camping together and we decided to try this one out. We love the flexibility it offers in that we can use both alcohol fuel and also wood fuel from sticks and such. The venting at the bottom allows for good airflow from the bottom that allows good cooking at the top. We still haven't used it yet with alcohol, but I assume it'll work just as well! One word of caution is to not use your nice cookware on this - It will accumulate soot and such so make sure you use durable cast iron or cookware you're not worried about ruining. ... show more

Tried this out for the first time tonight! The fire pit itself seems to be pretty decent quality though the ash/alcohol tray is thinner than I'd like. The tongs and marshmallow sticks are cheap, but work....they could be longer though. Biggest complaint is the "fireproof" mat.......thankfully I set up on a fireproof surface, because the mat melted completely through under the pit and I didn't know until I cleaned up....had it been set up on different surface it could have ended very badly!! If you get this fire pit, get a different fireproof mat and/or a stand of some sort ... show more

Assembly is one screw and nut. Then on the trail you fan out the blades and lock them into the pegs on the stand. In the morning the pan pops off and folds up easily. Super lightweight, small, and easy to use. I slid it under the tent in the nose of my kayak. Very happy with this purchase.

This outperformed my expectations after one use. Assembly is a little bit of a task, but that is totally worth it for how small it breaks down. Breaks down very easily into a nice provided case. At the price it would be worth it for single use, but I think this thing will hang for a while.
