We just remodeled our kitchen and I wanted new dishes. I ordered this set because I liked the selection offered. There are 2 sizes of plates, perfect size pasta bowls and cereal bowls. They are quality dishes with beautiful saturated color. I like that it did not come with coffee mugs. I don't need any more mugs. When our package arrived we knew before opening it that there were broken pieces because when my husband picked the box up we could hear them rattling around. I called the 800 number on the insert and there was no answer. I realized it was in a different country. I emailed and they responded that same day. They asked for pictures and a list of broken items and as soon as I sent it in they responded and shipped replacements out. The replacement pieces came in 2 shipments and part of it came in 2 days. The 2nd box took a couple of days longer. This company has great customer service. I love my new dishes and so does my husband. They are a little heavy but I like the weight. They also fit well in my new dishwasher. That is always a plus. Customer service is in Ratzeburg, Germany so I think that's where they are made. ... show more

These are a nice set of dishes. I received 3 of the 8 plates had a defect in the glazing on the plates, and when I reached out to manufacturer, they promptly replaced them free of charge. Looks great and have a good feel, not cheap like other box store.
