These work great. I typically throw them out on trash day when full. I've had the smaller ones in the past and changed them out frequently. These last a lot longer, but really do stink. I'll continue to buy these.

I live on a farm with 24+ horses. During the spring and summer months we have an excessive amount of flies that are around the horses and manure, making it uncomfortable for both animals and humans. I have tried several kinds of fly traps, and some work better than others. This larger sized flay trap bag has worked perfectly to catch a huge number of flies. I initially ruined one of the bags when I was getting it ready to use, because the bag of stuff that attracts the flies was stuck on the fly entry port, and I tore the fly capturing bag trying to detach the attractant from the plastic fly entry port. This is a high quality fly trap, but you have to be careful when initially preparing the trap, so you don't rip the bag, causing it to be useless. Once the fly trap is filled with water and hung out, it takes about 2 hot/warm days before flies start entering the trip and die. This is an economical method of catching and killing flies, and when the bag is full, you simply toss it in the garbage can without having to touch any of the nasty flies. ... show more

The bait gives off absolutely no smell in which to draw flies. The string to hold the bag, allows it to spin in the wind until it breaks. I've had traps that caught hundreds of flies, these traps didn't catch one. 😡
