Needed a printer that could print larger images for sublimation. When you go larger like this, for some reason additional inks are needed. So a black photo ink and a gray ink. That meant I couldn’t stay with my usual ink I was buying for my old Epson. I was in a pinch and needed my ink pretty quickly before my vendor event. So I went with this brand. I don't know for sure, but I THINK the Epson ink is a little more vibrant. The thing is, I don't think anyone in the world notices, and the reason I can't be sure is because the first job I did with this ink was on sub par polyester material that bled a bit. All in all, this is a great product, there are lots of YouTube videos to help you put it in an EcoTank printer that needs to be drained of regular ink to transform it into a sublimation printer, and Im a fan. I'm only buying this ink in the future. At one time it would have been nice if I could have had it overnighted. Why isn't that an option on Amazon? I never leave reviews but wanted to warn people about this product. I don’t know if the users that gave good reviews added this ink to a new printer, one they never had ink in. Maybe it works ok for that. I had an epson ecotank 8550( had being the keyword here) worked beautifully, never had a problem with it. I was running very low so I figured I’d try something cheaper than what I normally get. Big mistake and actually not that much cheaper. Once added to printer lines were in paper, ok let’s do a nozzle check, clean the heads. Alignments, do all of that, nothing still lives. Oh and when I did the alignment, couldn’t even see the color boxes to choose which was best. It was impossible. Next step, do a purge of each color, did that 10 times now and guess what, color still sucks and I still have all the lines. Printer is ruined. I paid 800.00 for this printer. So pissed off. Then him saying return the ink for a refund. Sent out instructions on what to do when I already did it multiple times. Do not buy! Not if you have an established printer. ... show more
