Frequently asked questions

The PUNEHOD L1800 is a Direct to Film (DTF) printer, which prints designs onto special films that are then transferred to clothing using heat and pressure. DTG printers, on the other hand, print directly onto the fabric. DTF is generally more versatile as it can print on both light and dark garments and on a wider variety of materials, whereas DTG may provide a softer feel on fabric but is usually more limited to light-colored clothing and specific textile types.

Yes, the PUNEHOD L1800 DTF Printer can print on both dark and light clothing. The printer makes use of a white ink underbase for dark garments to ensure that the colors pop out, giving high-quality prints on any color of fabric.

The PUNEHOD L1800 DTF Printer package includes the A3 DTF Printer itself, a roll feeder, an oven for curing the prints, dedicated software for designing and printing, 6 x 250ml bottles of ink specialized for DTF printing, and DTF film required for transferring prints onto clothing.

The preheating feature on the PUNEHOD L1800 DTF Printer prepares the film and inks for optimal printing. Preheating ensures that the inks are at the right viscosity for printing, which can help in achieving better print quality, especially in environments with variable temperatures.

  • Awesome!
The media could not be loaded. I did a lot of research on DTF printers and personal and small business ones. I didn't want to invest $18k as a beginner. I got referrals for this one and I love it so far. The set up was super easy. Only problem I had was pulling the ink from the reservoir tube in the back, but I took a chance and ran it anyway and it drained just fine. I made a print and cured it and pressed it and it turned out perfect. I need to check the color settings because it was darker then I liked but it was perfect. The oven worked great as well. This doesn't come with any paper instructions on temp settings for the printer so please search YouTube for this printer and oven. I learned it has to be between 35 and 40 for printing and the oven 100 for 200 sec. If that helps. I am a beginner never printed DTF and have basic computer knowledge lol and I set it all up by myself. I also got a response from customer service on here and on the procolor FB page right away. They were very kind and what to help, but I was able to solve all my issues after searching YouTube and Google and taking a deep breath. ... show more

  • DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME… unless you are looking for an expensive paperweight..
When we decided to extend our print services, we were torn between this printer and the Roland BN20A; ultimately we decided on this printer due to our budget. O..M..G, if I knew it was going to be this bad I would have just spent the extra $2k for the Roland! Within the first 30 days we were only able to get 10 COMPLETE prints before it started putting out saturated solid black prints; we contacted support and were told the printhead had to be replaced which we were able to get them to send at no cost. Long story short we were at a dead stop during our busy Christmas rush; once we received the replacement we had to practically gut the printer to replace the printhead and ribbons which took approximately 7 hours. Within this past year we have been in constant contact with their support (which has been phenomenal by the way) with literally one problem after another! We have had COUNTLESS printing issues, had to reorder ink and film that was just wasted throughout the process and the printer even caught fire to boot! Our company has been making custom apparel for 5 years; prior to this adventure we have experience in computer repair and technical support, graphic design and ELECTRIC! I have never been more frustrated in my life than I have with this printer. If I could go back and make a different choice, I would have never even gave this printer a second thought. Negative stars for the product but 0.5 stars to tech support! I wouldn’t even recommend this printer to my worst enemy! I would love to add photos but my album consists of over 500 images of a dismantled product… we only had to do this a million times… spent more time trying to fix it rather than printing. ... show more

  • Love my printer!
I normally don’t write reviews, but I do love this product! It has saved me time and let me print beautiful colors… I didn’t realize that I needed to use it every day or the ink might get clogged from drying out. When my White ink stopped working, I went to U-tub to see how to fix it (1st mistake!) Because I missing it up more, so after a lot of tears later, I got a hold of the Procoloerd customer service (who is amazing by the way) I had to buy a few parts that they gave me the links for and they also set me some for free all rush orders! Had a one on one chat with their engineers, who walk me through how to put the parts together with helpful videos… and said I can connect them anytime I need assistance with their product! Now my printer is working again and I’m working on catching up with my orders… Again their customer service, sales and engineering were all very friendly and helpful! They are there to help just let them know what you’re problem is and they can most likely fix it! Special thanks to Lina & P-Jerry! ... show more

  • Great DTF package for beginners
This is not for the faint at heart!!! Everything looks exactly the picture. I bought the bundle with a warranty, oven, and PET Film roll, along with the printer- I've used every bit of it since the time I received it in March. Packaged nicely in a wooden crate- no damages. The software, AcroRip, isn't hard to learn because they send all the how to information on a jump drive. Maintenence tasks and possible errors with the solutions are also included on the jump drive. My favorite part is the support team. They are in China so when I need help, I plan my days accordingly since they're 13hrs ahead. They've helped me through big issues taking 6hrs and replacing parts and small issues that take 30mins. Friendly and helpful. This is the hardest machine I've ever had (you'll need a lot of patience), most expensive, but also the most lucrative to my business. Each print can take anywhere from 10mins to 45mins at high resolution to finish. If I knew what I know now, I would've gotten one that prints much faster(maybe dual head). I also would have gotten the automatic shaker and cooker attachment to go along with it- my next purchase. The time it takes to wait for a print, just to powder and cure it is torture so if you get the attachment you'll be able to mass print, powder, and cure without waiting on doing it manually. ... show more

  • Printer
I’ve bought my phone code L 1800 printer in May. The hair quit working about a month ago. I had to call China they did try helping. And was somewhat successful. Don’t know what we did to get it working but it did start working at that point yesterday August 30 printer started throwing ink all over contacted the seller‘s contact and Amazon where I purchased it from all they were about as shipping back to repair, that puts me out of a printer and $3500 almost $3600. Call Amazon back August 31 not helpful at all but apologies people beware Amazon’s not there to help. They do apologize a lot but when you’re stuck out at this amount of money you would think they would try to put a little more effort to helping , but does it doesn’t make them a difference so people be on the lookout if you looking to purchase this printer ... show more
