Frequently asked questions

The PUNEHOD L1800 is a Direct to Film (DTF) printer, which prints designs onto special films that are then transferred to clothing using heat and pressure. DTG printers, on the other hand, print directly onto the fabric. DTF is generally more versatile as it can print on both light and dark garments and on a wider variety of materials, whereas DTG may provide a softer feel on fabric but is usually more limited to light-colored clothing and specific textile types.

Yes, the PUNEHOD L1800 DTF Printer can print on both dark and light clothing. The printer makes use of a white ink underbase for dark garments to ensure that the colors pop out, giving high-quality prints on any color of fabric.

The PUNEHOD L1800 DTF Printer package includes the A3 DTF Printer itself, a roll feeder, an oven for curing the prints, dedicated software for designing and printing, 6 x 250ml bottles of ink specialized for DTF printing, and DTF film required for transferring prints onto clothing.

The preheating feature on the PUNEHOD L1800 DTF Printer prepares the film and inks for optimal printing. Preheating ensures that the inks are at the right viscosity for printing, which can help in achieving better print quality, especially in environments with variable temperatures.

  • Great DTF Printer
A+++++++ printer. Makes the process so easy. Plus the online team support is awesome and has helped me numerous times learning the whole process. • Research
I have had my printer for about a year now. I love it now!! I didn’t do my daily maintenance in the beginning so I had a bad start to this process. After doing a ton a research and coming up without the solutions to get it to work again I reached out to Frank. There is a 12 hour time difference, but the team of engineers patiently helped me to figure out what was wrong. I wish I would have contacted them sooner. As far as the machine you get what you pay for. It’s not the top end printer, but it does a really great job. It does take a little long to print a big project (10 min) or so. But again you get what you pay for. I love the quality it prints and I haven’t had any problems with my shirts so far! ... show more

  • Print quality and customer service
I would NOT recommend this printer at all. The print quality is great and looks good on shirts. That's the only thing that is good about this printer. It requires a lot of maintenance. I have had it since September 2023. I haven't got to print on it much because it stopped printing. Cost me 150.00 to ship it to CA for it to get repaired, and when it got sent back it was damaged. As you can see in the photos above. The customer service is awful. They are giving me trouble about the damages that were made when it got sent back. This has been a headache and to me a loss. ... show more

  • Great DTF package for beginners
This is not for the faint at heart!!! Everything looks exactly the picture. I bought the bundle with a warranty, oven, and PET Film roll, along with the printer- I've used every bit of it since the time I received it in March. Packaged nicely in a wooden crate- no damages. The software, AcroRip, isn't hard to learn because they send all the how to information on a jump drive. Maintenence tasks and possible errors with the solutions are also included on the jump drive. My favorite part is the support team. They are in China so when I need help, I plan my days accordingly since they're 13hrs ahead. They've helped me through big issues taking 6hrs and replacing parts and small issues that take 30mins. Friendly and helpful. This is the hardest machine I've ever had (you'll need a lot of patience), most expensive, but also the most lucrative to my business. Each print can take anywhere from 10mins to 45mins at high resolution to finish. If I knew what I know now, I would've gotten one that prints much faster(maybe dual head). I also would have gotten the automatic shaker and cooker attachment to go along with it- my next purchase. The time it takes to wait for a print, just to powder and cure it is torture so if you get the attachment you'll be able to mass print, powder, and cure without waiting on doing it manually. ... show more

  • Be patient!!
After contemplating this machine back and forth for over a month… I finally decided to go with this one. I researched many machines (as this is a huge expense). After reading lots of reviews and watching lots of YouTube videos. I thought I could be a pro at this. Silly me. The machine came all wrapped up in a very nice chest box. I unboxed it. Everything was there. Not one part was missing. As I am not very computer literate when it comes to uploading and setting up USB files, I decided to get in touch with the engineers that are provided for you. This is where I want to say be patient (as they are great at their job) it takes some time. But the customer service was amazing. I got frustrated and even told my husband I was scared. In the end they had me up and running and even showed me how to make prints. I am by far still learning but i have the just of it, and look forward to learning what all I can do with this. They take ALOT of care, and routine maintenance is simple. But nozzle checks are a must everyday. I will update this if I come across any changes, But so far I am impressed. I am getting great color prints. I only gave it 4 stars because I have only had it a couple days. I will change it after a couple months. Enjoy ... show more

  • Awesome!
The media could not be loaded. I did a lot of research on DTF printers and personal and small business ones. I didn't want to invest $18k as a beginner. I got referrals for this one and I love it so far. The set up was super easy. Only problem I had was pulling the ink from the reservoir tube in the back, but I took a chance and ran it anyway and it drained just fine. I made a print and cured it and pressed it and it turned out perfect. I need to check the color settings because it was darker then I liked but it was perfect. The oven worked great as well. This doesn't come with any paper instructions on temp settings for the printer so please search YouTube for this printer and oven. I learned it has to be between 35 and 40 for printing and the oven 100 for 200 sec. If that helps. I am a beginner never printed DTF and have basic computer knowledge lol and I set it all up by myself. I also got a response from customer service on here and on the procolor FB page right away. They were very kind and what to help, but I was able to solve all my issues after searching YouTube and Google and taking a deep breath. ... show more
