This is a decent product given its current price point. I am a big fan of this type of hair dryer brush and for me it works quite well. I have shoulder length relatively thick hair that's wavy in its natural state and this type of brush works well for me. I have tried many hair dryers like this and this compares decently to the expensive ones. It is thinner feeling and it doesn't feel like a heavy duty product or an expensive one. So in that sense it does feel cheaper made. It does have multiple settings and a cold setting as well. It is loud, but it works well and the bristles are decent. I have used some where the bristles were completely ineffective and this is not like that they do work pretty well. It doesn't have any bells or whistles and the end is a little hard to hold on to as it is shorter as far as when you're rolling your hair, the end tip, but it works well and it's definitely good if you either want to just try a product like this but aren't sure you'll like it and don't want to spend a lot of money or maybe for a teen or a tween that wants something like this but you don't want to spend a lot or just a spare. So in that sense I gave this a higher rating just because it works well for its quality. ... show more

I liked this blow dryer brush with 3 settings. The top is scalloped and indented plastic, so it does not get as hot as brush dryers with solid plastic tops (see photos). Without a hair styling product added to the hair, this brush dryer frizzed my hair a bit. It frizzed thin hair more than thick/full hair, but both got frizzies and flyaways -- unless oil or another hair product was used before drying. The drying was quick, efficient and effective. The brush dryer is comfortable to hold and dried a full head of hair fairly quickly -- adding body when dried in sections and curled around the brush while drying. I am happy that I selected this, but I still prefer a standard blow-dryer to a brush dryer for every day use. Hope this helps! :-) ... show more

- NOT foldable despite what the description says. +Very light +Doesn't make a screeching sound like many do. - Center of the blowdryer is visible and I feel like if it overheats it could light hair on fire. Used it for a few minutes and I could still feel heat coming off of it for a few minutes later. Maybe good as a backup dryer in a guest bathroom, but wouldn't trust this for every day. ... show more

I am pleasantly surprised by this hair dryer brush! I unpacked it from the massive box and used it on mostly dry hair. In just a few minutes, I had some sweet Farrah Fawcett shag hair going on. My hair held the style all day; my husband even commented on it when he saw me. I have long, thick, and wavy hair and the bristles pass through my hair easily without snarling/tangling it. The unit itself is lightweight and easy for me to hold. The ionic/tourmaline features work well to combat frizz. It's not too loud either! It has three settings and the cord is thick and sturdy. I didn't smell any weird singed or burning while using the styler. It cooled right down. It's not the fanciest hair tool but it is fun to experiment with styles and could be great fun for a teen/tween getting into hair care. ... show more

First impression: This Hair Dryer Brush and Styler Volumizer is BIG! My hands are small, so it took a little bit of use to become accustomed to the wide circumference, but then it was fine. Fortunately it's not very heavy. My hair is really thick, so I wouldn't use this as a hair dryer on freshly washed hair. It really shines as a finishing tool on almost-dry hair or to refresh my hair later in the day or on days when I don't have time to wash it. It works best to smooth and straighten. The Hair Dryer Brush and Styler Volumizer, Hair Dryer is pretty amazing to have a brush styler that's both Ionic and Tourmaline given the price of $9.99 at the time of my order. The quality is really good and the cord is very thick and durable. The size of the brush is very large, so it would work best for those that have shoulder length hair or longer. On page three of the product listing photo where there's four pictures of the model, that gives you a more accurate depiction of the size of the brush. The shape of the brush is between round and oval. It is easy to use. The handle is fairly large to grip. I have small hands and I I could not grip it completely -although it felt secure in my hand while using it. I had about a 1 inch gap when my hand was wrapped around the handle. If this was higher priced, I would say it needs some kind of silicone grip for people with very small hands. The Ionic and the Tourmaline really helps for reducing frizz without damaging your hair. What I loved about this hair dryer brush is that my hair was dry and I was able to use it for just a few minutes to reduce the frizz completely without using any other product. This is a product I'll get a lot of use out of and I would recommend to others especially given the price. ... show more

This hair dryer brush is better than I was expecting. Very simple to use with 3 settings. Seems relatively safe to use as none of the plastic on the outside part of the brush gets hot. The heating element seems to be within the middle of the brush and does not have direct contact with your hair. I do feel the handle is a bit clunky and may be a little harder to use if you have smaller hands. I have pretty straight hair and was hoping to use this to style my hair while drying it. It works better with smaller sections of hair. I wasn't able to use it to curl my hair, but was able to help the bottom of my hair curl in. I would probably stick to using a hair curler for curls but this will work fine if you're just trying to style it just a little while drying your hair. ... show more
