I really like this ball joint separator set. It comes with both the standard handle and the air chisel adapter. It also comes with 3 different size forks which is very handy. The tool seems to be very good quality and has held up well using both a hammer and air chisel. The carrying case is nice and keeps everything organized. The set did come with a pair of gloves, which I guess is a nice gesture but they are not the best quality but will work for a DIYer. Highly recommended. ... show more

    • Decent budget set of pickleforks
I have a set of indexing pickleforks that are much better than these but also exponentially more expensive. These will certainly do with most applications though and I won't even think twice about handing this set to someone if they want to borrow it. Nobody is touching my indexing set though LOL

Not Snap On quality by any means. For how often I actually need this tool I couldn't justify the $300+ on a tool truck kit. have only used the air hammer portion but it worked great and got the job done. Had to change out the short tie rod to pitman arm... this made the job so much simpler! Extremely happy ... 1 for 1 so far... am sure the next time it will go just as smooth

    • OK for the DIYer
These are OK for the DIYer to have available in the home garage for occasional, low-mid duty use. The forks themselves are good, with a coating that will keep corrosion at bay. Not sure how it hold up yet - time will tell - but so far, so good. Size and heft-wise they seem adequate to me to work on everything up to a normal size SUV. They come with two different handles - one for use with a regular handle and one that will insert into air hammers. I like the air-hammer idea but have not had the chance to test it yet. The storage case is one of the cheap blow-molded ones; organization and tool retention are actually surprisingly OK and it is not wasting quite as much space as some. However, the blow-mold latches that always break off after like 5 uses that it comes with are an absolute no-go for me. Overall, these are OK as long as you only work on small- to mid-sized vehicles and are looking for a cost-effect set for occasional home use. ... show more

The air hammer attachment makes this kit unstoppable. It has everything needed and in a nice case. Very durable and will take a beating on suspension work.
