The instructions are just a few steps, all pictures, and about halfway through you don't even need them anymore. If you have your own tools, use them. I did not feel like going out into the cold to get mine, but the provided wrenches worked well enough. The frame appears flimsy until fully assembled, then seems plenty sturdy enough. This is the best foundation for a mattress, no competition. 20 min to put together and solid as a tank with no squeaks. The cover is high quality and completes the look. I bought two and they look great and work great. No one should be knocking a star off for any reason.

This box spring is just a little too wide and will not fit two different bed frames. I waited too long to return hoping another bed frame would work (it didn’t) so now we are stuck with it. If you have a standard size wooden box spring, it is about .4 inches too wide in comparison. Don’t buy.

Who knew? It's been many years since I had to purchase a box spring and now they send them to you to be assembled. It took a little less than an hour. My 17-year-old grandson could carry it by himself and place it in the bed frame. It's perfect. I don't hear any squeaking either.
