Directions are all pictures, no words. It takes some time to put together. It appears sturdy and has many support bars. The only tool you will need is a phillips screwdriver. Other tools are provided in the packaging. As long as you follow the pictures it is not difficult to assemble, but is consuming. It is helpful to have smaller fingers during a few steps due to tight spaces. I would recommend; it appears to be well made and comes with a nice box spring cover that attaches with velcro. I've only had the box spring for less than a week, but so far so good. The directions have no words, simply pictures, so if you struggle with that, this is not for you. It also takes two people to assemble.

This boxspring is a nightmare to assemble, the instructions are not specific, and the tools they provide are a joke. The labeling makes little sense. Unless you have your own tools, a lot of patience, and a few hours… This is not the boxspring for you.. I don’t like that the wrap doesn’t cover the bottom.     • Not Solid Wood But Solid Overall

The wood parts are not made of solid wood. It's composite and hollow for the most part, which makes the parts light but the composite is still somewhat sturdy. The metal slats and supports are heavy and strong. Some of the metal stats had to be forced into place, others slid right in. Assembly is ok, took me about 90 minutes by myself. Would be easier with two people. Some of my metal slats looked used and included in two bundles. One bundle was zip tied, the others just loose. Could have been a return that was just packaged together, who knows. The cover included with my order smelled really really bad. Like it was made in a burning meth lab. I did not use it. Overall if I needed to buy a box spring again I would wait, save up my money and buy something of better quality. I am using the box spring however and so far it is working and solid. ... show more
