It comes in a good sturdy box, and it is metal. The cover for the box spring is very easy to put on. For me, who is alone, it took getting extra help to assemble. The first issue was one of the holes was not evenly lined up, and not properly drilled out for the threading of the bolt. The nuts are very small and the open ended tool provided was too big for the nuts. Thankfully, my Dad who is a mechanic had a large collection of torch wrench adapters and we got it assembled in no time. I had, who grew up doing my own assembly stuff, struggled for almost 3 hours alone, so get help! I look forward to using these. I bought two for my king sized bed, and they are perfect for the frame. ... show more
