What a wonderful difference this 7" lift kit has made with getting on and off the bed. Plus it has made my mattress feel nice firm and flat like new as a bonus. It's easy to put together. I used my own tools. It's faster with a socket wrench. The cover is good quality. My mattress doesn't move at all on top of it. Doesn't make any noise when I move around. Works like a charm , easy to take apart and put together. The cross bars will come out with no weight on the frame , but that's not bad for taking it apart . A bit heavy, weight wise, but it is metal right . I tend to like the frame better in an in store fabric covered box spring . Fairly easy to put together. Needed hubby’s help to tighten the bolts that use the nuts. I have small hands and couldn’t hold the nut in place with the wrench and turn the Alan bolt at the same time. Frame is very sturdy and supports us 2 fluffy folks. Have not experienced any squeaking. I recommend putting the frame onto the bed frame before putting in the short slats since those slats don’t lock in with bolts. ... show more

I had no idea this needed to be assembled (my fault for not reading it through) because the picture was deceiving, as it looked like a box spring that was already together BUT, I must say, everything was clearly marked and instructions were easy to follow. Usually putting things together are incredibly stressful but it wasn't so bad. It was a bit time consuming (about an hour and a half) but it came out well and we haven't had any problems with it. It fit the frame and bed is great. At the end of the day, we took this as a challenge and felt accomplished afterwards! If you don't mind having to put it together, I would actually recommend this item. Clear directions, everything labeled for ease and knowing you built it is satisfying and saves you a bit of money than having it already done. Hope this helps! ... show more
