responsive, but if you mess up the code it takes a short while to reset so you. Can try again. Only draw back is that it doesn’t with with WiFi unless you buy a gateway. That should be stated in the description, but wasn’t. So budget in another 30$ for a gateway.

Great looking, easy to install

This lock is quite easy to install over our older Kwikset lock. Although it does require 2 additional holes (one on top, and one on bottom), the bottom hole is adjustable in height so you can fit an existing installation (like the one we have). Another hole in the top is needed to hold the keypad in
place, and cannot be seen once the product is fully installed. Overall, the lock works quite well. Fingerprint works better than my U-tec smart lock and recognizes my finger even on light presses. Someone who has larger fingers may need to press it the same way so it recognizes the same regions of the finger. I was also able to reuse my U-tec keyfobs (which also uses MiFare 1k blank fobs) for this door as well (these locks only use the UID of the card for identification). The lock seems to have a 5x/5min lockout that can't be customized/disabled, so keep that in mind esp if you are having troubles with fingerprint recognition and cannot use a smartphone to unlock the lock. Note that the lock out of the box cannot connect to Wi-Fi and do remote unlocking. To do this, you will need to purchase a G2 Wi-Fi gateway (which is universal to all these locks using the TTLock app). If you do not get a remote gateway, all management options must be done within Bluetooth range. Comparing this to my U-tec lock, I am very happy with the range in which the Bluetooth seems to work. My U-tec gateway would only work with direct line of sight (and sometimes will still fail to work). The remote unlocking function on this works as far as a BLE connection would go (I tried to unlock it from around 35 feet or so and it works fine even through stairs and walls). Just a note in regards to batteries: While this will technically fit rechargeable NiMH batteries, the battery compartment has very tight tolerances and most US-based NiMH will be a bit too large to fit within the compartment. You can squeeze them in very tightly and close the battery door, but it may take some effort. The battery level on the app will show around 70% on fully charged NiMH batteries.

Great Door Lock, Batteries Don’t Fit?

Door lock is great and functions as intended. It says it requires 4 AA batteries but the batteries cause it to stretch and break? It’s cracked on the top now. Doesn’t stop it from functioning… but concerning with regards to life of the lock. One day it may not hold the batteries and it’s done for. As

I love how this looks on the doors to our rental unit and it's SO nice to be able to set a code and easily change it between stays. It makes me feel so secure. My husband had no issues installing it and it matches our vibe completely. Don't mind the tape on the doors, we just finished repainting them
to finish the glow up that the smart lock started 😂

Convenient and it’s exactly as described

The fingerprint feature has been so convenient for us to open the door quickly. It comes with keys for people that prefer using a key. Installing took a while for my husband to figure out, but it’s understandable since it was his first time installing a door knob. One feature I wish it had was to be
able to lock and unlock remotely. It uses Bluetooth and you have to be close to your door to be able to unlock from your phone. We don’t need the remote access since I have a small family. A remote access door knob will probably be useful for bigger families and this wouldn’t be the best fit.

My bad for not reading more thoroughly. I was in the market for a wi-fi enabled lock and after looking for hours I ran across this one. I saw "app-controlled" and all the people you can assign, and thought I'd give this a try after reading a few of the reviews. I must have missed the negative reviews
because I didn't see one that said, 1. App-controlled means Bluetooth, which means you must be within a few feet of the lock for it to work (lock and unlock). 2. Unless you have a key, you can only unlock the lock with the code, or fingerprint - you can't lock it. So, if you give it to your cleaning people or Aunt Grandma - when they leave, they have no choice but to leave your door UNLOCKED - not a good solution in my opinion. 3. The APP is goofy. You can grant ADMIN privileges. Well, anyone who works with technology even for a few hours knows ADMIN privileges are scary sounding - you don't give it to anyone. Apparently, with this APP it means user - I think. The bottom line is this isn't Wi-Fi enabled, so I can't lock my door from anywhere if I mistakenly forgot to lock it, or can't be notified that my lock was unlocked by someone while I'm remote, etc. This is just a basic lock with a confusing app. The fingerprint unlock feature as well as the code unlock feature is nice - I do like that, but again, it can't be locked so what's the purpose? I wouldn't waste your money on this - I'm probably going to be replacing it with something that is much more practical from a technology standpoint. Very dissatisfied.

Needed a lock to replace my old lock during house renovation. Tried my luck with this elegantly looking smart lock and didn’t regret it. First of all, it is very affordable and waau cheaper than similar locks in big box stores. Looks even better than on pictures. It took me about half an hour to inst
all it and 10 min to connect it with the app. Very smooth process. Set two passeords so can’t confirm if it can really memorize 150 passwords as advertised, but who really needs that many!? Sprinkled it with water and it still works perfectly. Power indicator is a great bonus that can’t be find with all smart locks on the market. Overall seems like a good quality smart lock. Recommended!
