I shopped a long time for one of these. This one is perfect! It gives off a ton of heat, we have it in a large room and you can feel the difference. I put it together by myself (female, 52), the only help I needed was having my husband lift the mantel up on top, I didn't want to strain my back. Takes a screwdriver, that's it. The fireplace is beautiful and very easy to set up. The materials are sturdy, solid construction with a nice white finish. The flame is very realistic with a few adjustments to make it brighter and control the flame height. The heat output on this is fantastic. I have it set to 72°F for a fairly large living room but the temp setting goes to over 90°F. There is some noise from the fan motor that may be annoying to some but its not very loud but it is noticeable. My only complaint is this arrived with a broken remote which is very annoying since you need to get up if you want to do any adjustments. Gotta give the remote a 1 star since i cant use it. ... show more

I was surprised at how easy this was to assemble. Often the three little words “some assembly required” means untold hours are required along with a puzzle-masters zen to get a device put together. First there aren’t that many pieces, secondly each piece is clearly labeled…A..B..C..D..and so on, thirdly all you need is a slotted and flat screwdriver. No hard to hold Allen wrench. It is very ikea-like in the assembly process. I was skeptical of the two-hour assembly times mentioned in reviews but these were right on target with what I found. While one person (even an older one like me …I’m 78) can do it! a QC person to help is good. It looks great in our den (as you can see) provides good warmth or just a visually pleasing flame-like view. My only complaint is the very small remote control. It works but can easily get misplaced. ... show more

Took me 2 hours to assemble - from unboxing to final product. Gives off good heat too with several flame levels & temperature options. **I will note that this was our second order. Love the mantel. I got the 50” size The log look was very cheap and very fake looking could have been made tremendously more real look especially for the price!! The flame flicker behind the fake logs was nice Overall I like it and it looks AWESOME in our living room

I ordered this item as a pre-order so there were no reviews to rely on-but I was not disappointed!! It came in exactly as hoped. Item was correct and just as pictured, and packed very well-box was a bit beat up upon arrival but it didn’t matter due to the care of the internal packing. This was probably the best labeled, and most organized instruction I’ve ever seen which made assembly a breeze. I didn’t even have to ask my husband for help-assembled the whole thing myself! I will say it is a definite two man process to get the box from outside in-very heavy!! One of the main reasons I purchased was the height and size. I was placing this on a very large, tall wall and needed it to look substantial and it did. It’s perfect and I cannot wait to finally have a large mantle to decorate for the holidays! Item also puts out a good amount of heat without being noisy. The adjustable flame is lovely and I really like that it has a remote, adjustable thermostat and timer. I wish I had it put together so I could post a Pic of what this fireplace actually looks like. First of all, size wise, it looks like they hit a real fireplace with a shrink ray. Then took pictures of a real fireplace and used that in the adds. Second, The color of the fireplace in the Picture was so good looking, the one I got is Dark Gray Plastic. Either they forgot to add the outside finish, or we are suppose to paint it ourselves. I am going to call this unit a starting point, I think with enough time spent I can make it look good enough to use in my Garage. I would not recommend this unit to any one. Thew best I can say is "If you are looking for Cheap and Ugly, this is what you are looking for. Oh by the way, the firebox is excellent, very realistic flame. May build my own housing for that! ... show more
