  • Fantastic at what it is supposed to do. No frills and poor entertainment extras built in.
I have had this treadmill up and running for about a month now. I was looking for a higher end treadmill with the sturdiness of a gym level one. I am 6' and 250lbs and some of the lower end treadmills are not sturdy enough and shake too much for someone my size. I have it installed in a finished basement on a hard vinyl tile floor with a treadmill mat underneath. First impressions: * This thing is one of the bulkiest and heaviest things I have had to move in my house. It weighed over 425 lbs. and came in a big 7' x 3' box. * I needed four people to move it around to the back of my house into my basement. It will never move again. If you don't have a couple of burly friends to help you, consider the White Glove service, if available. * Setup was easy once out of the box. I did it myself. Some parts are a little large and heavy so having a second person would help. Pros: * Has it where it counts. This thing feels like a gym treadmill. Sturdy, well made. * Lifetime warranty on the motor * No calibration needed out of the box for me. The tread was aligned and there was no slippage. * Very comfortable, even on faster speeds. I didn't have any issues with walking, jogging or running. * It isn't very loud compared to other treadmills I have used. Motor is relatively quiet. Of course it gets louder as you fun faster. * Hand bars are long and sturdy. * Quick access panel with start and emergency stop switch is nice * Little to no deck flex. Sturdy run for my size. Cons: * The console is sub par. It is really basic monochrome readout. There are a number of presets and manual modes and you have some good options but it is missing key features I would expect for a treadmill in this price range. For instance, the mp3 player is USB or 3.5mm jack only with no Bluetooth so this appears to be a design from about a decade ago. This isn't a major issue for me as I have a wall mounted TV in the room where this resides. * I didn't expect much but the audio quality of the speakers are awful * The fan is a nice little feature but it runs for a few minutes and shuts off. * No way to save profiles for the runner. I have to enter my weight, age, etc. every time I use it. This is dumb. * Haven't figure out how to add time to an existing session. I have to just start a new one if I want to add more minutes. * There is a heartrate pulse sensor on the handlebars, much like gym tier treadmills although I have found it to be not very sensitive and slow. I just stopped using it because it doesn't always register. * Cup holders are oddly shaped and angled. Also, the phone holder is small and doesn't fit my Galaxy S10+. These are nitpicky and small, but still need pointed out. * No cool down button. Just end. Overall impression is that I love this thing. The important parts like the treadmill, motor, size, warranty, build quality are all awesome. If you want all the built in entertainment or fitness tracking extras that some other brands have, you're out of luck. Just use a Fitbit and get a TV/tablet for entertainment and call it a day. Subtracted one start for the underwhelming console for this price range but debated making it 5 stars as that is minor to me. 3/8/21 EDIT: After using the treadmill for a few months I can confirm that the quality is amazing. Great track, no slippage, sturdy (I weigh 245lbs) and works as advertised. It feels like a commercial treadmill. Yes, the console is still subpar but after using the fitbit for a while, I have found that the console is completely unnecessary other than to get it started and adjust speed. I bumped the review to 5 stars based on it being a phenomenal treadmill. ... show more

  • A Solid Treadmill with Exceptional Customer Service
After researching various treadmills, I decided to take a chance on this highly praised unit, and I’m glad I did. It arrived in perfect condition and was easy to assemble. However, be warned: it’s heavy! You’ll need 2-3 people to move it, especially between floors. I had a minor issue with the pins, but customer service was outstanding. Keith was especially helpful, always available to take my calls and quickly resolved the issue. The treadmill itself is quiet, smooth, and built like a tank. I also love the fact that there are no subscription fees or overly complex electrical components to worry about, unlike many newer models with faulty consoles. With proper maintenance, I can see it easily lasting 10 years or more. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a long-lasting, high-quality treadmill without the extra overhead costs. ... show more

  • It does have all the standard workout modes if you like that sort of thing
Bottom line up front: The treadmill has it where it counts. The base is solid. It doesn’t shake when you run. There is ample platform space so you don’t have to constantly worry about scraping the edges. It does have all the standard workout modes if you like that sort of thing. At the end of the day, it will get you a good run. But there are some things I wish I had picked up on before I bought it. 1) There is no cool-down button, and running on the “Manual” mode does not launch a cool-down at the end, which most treadmills do once the time expires. So if you want to cool down, you have to do that manually as well. 2) The built-in mp3 player will only play your mp3’s sequentially. You can skip tracks, but there’s no shuffle function. This means if you have 100 tracks on a data stick, you’ll always hear them in the same order. Also, the speakers are rather awful, particularly if you are the type who can tell good sound from bad. It sounds like music being played through one of those tape recorders from the 1980’s. 3) Yes, there’s a “custom” feature where you can build a custom profile and save it (2 of them). But it’s entirely inflexible – you have to program 24 individual segments. All I wanted to do was to save my weight and age and run at a constant speed for 60 minutes… and there’s no way to save that. Programing 24 individual segments will take longer than an average 3-mile run so you’ll probably never use this feature. 4) The STOP button on the front of the treadmill is a great safety feature, but it’s way too easy to hit with your hands as you run. During one of my first runs on this treadmill, this happened to me twice. I was pretty torqued about it. You’ll just have to get used to staying about a foot back from the panel. 5) The front panel storage slots are oddly shaped and aren’t really designed to place anything in particular into them. Modern phones (the larger ones) won’t fit into the phone slot and only sit awkwardly in the other larger bins. There’s no good place to jam your towel, so you just have to drape it over one of the side bars. 6) There’s no number pad, so all numbers entries are achieved by scrolling through numbers. For the price, I feel like they could’ve done a lot better with the panel. But the most important part of the machine – it’s runnability – is fantastic. If I could rate the panel separately from the platform, I would give the panel 3 stars, and I’d give the platform 5 stars. Hence… the 4-star rating. ... show more
