Fire pit was easy enough to put together and seems rigid enough. Inside of the kit I didn't receive the handle for the cook top, or the fire poker. Not big deals but enough to warrant not getting 5 stars.

The FireBug sez, It's a relatively Light duty pit. This is probably only going to last a year or two max if left outdoors and exposed to the elements. I don't think the metal is as thick as what a 55 gallon drum would be made of., it may be 24 guage or thereabout. Also don't expect it to come in flawless condition, odds are high that it will arrive with a ding or dent, and some of the welds are a bit suspect. The inner parts of the metal legs are not coated and they exhibit rust inside them when new right out of the box. I expect after the first couple of fires and a good rain the pit will have a LOT More rust on it. For assembly I recommend you just partially install ALL the screws BEFORE tightening any of them. That way, you can press things into place as you tighten everything down. Some of the screws are a bit difficult to get started because the PreDrilled and Tapped holes are not tapped at the same angle as the parts they are bolting together. with a MSRP of 89.00 i think it's a bit pricey for a light duty pit, it does look beautiful when it's new though. and at 36 inches it's pretty large, you will want to have a decent amount of space to put this into. We have been looking for a cowboy BBQ style firepit for a while but most of them are way too large and way too expensive. So when we saw this, it was a great price and size for us and a few friends. The fire pit is nice quality. It's very strong. It looks great and the lid makes for easy storage. It was a little difficult to build on my own. Be sure to leave all the screws loose until it's complete! The grill warped a little over the heat but not too bad. I am using charcoal cages to make for easier cleanup and the ability to use less charcoal when barbecuing for only 2 people.
