  • A use that many do not have.
I do not fall into the normal group of people who buy this tarp. I bought this things for one reason. To make a swimming pool for my kids. You herd right. 14 hay bales, some sand, and 2 or 3 tow straps made me a 20 foot by 12 foot by 3 foot deep swimming pool for the cost of 1 tarp. I could not see paying 500 plus for the inflatable swimming pools that are easily torn. I live out in the country and the one thing I do have is tow straps and hay bales. Enter the tarp. I used some extra sand I hate just to make sure i did not puncture the tarp itself and it managed to hold water ALL SUMMER LONG. Best money I ever spent, will likely work next year too. ... show more

  • Overpriced, low quality, not heavy duty
For some reason I bought 2 of these tarps in the 20x30 size. First one lasted about 6 months in the shade and it ripped. I really needed one fast when the first one broke so I bought another one for prime shipping of course. three of the grommets were missing, others bent or smashed, seams where tarp was put together were already coming apart right out of the package. I had to use it to cover something so I'm using it regardless, I didn't have time to wait for a replacement. To add insult to injury this item was $73 the day I ordered it from Amazon, two weeks later I saw the exact same tarp in Walmart in the camping section for $49.97. So, in summary, this is not a heavy duty tarp, its the standard quality, it also has manufacturing defects in both units I've ordered, and on top of all of that its priced about $23 higher on Amazon than it was at my particular local Walmart store for the EXACT tarp under their store brand, made in the same facility, same dimensions, weight, etc. ... show more

  • Lasts about 8 months outdoors
This is the third of these tarps I am buying in the last year and two months. I use it to cover my half pipe. They last about 6 months an then begin to disintegrate. They work great but the sun and elements seem to take their toll. They are super thick and heavy duty when new. Well built.

  • Won't last more than one season if you have hard winters.
Was a good heavy tarp, but it was only on my camp trailer for 7 months before I took it off for the summer. I went to put it back on for the winter and it started to shred. I used gorilla tape to patch, but once I started trying to adjust it on the trailer, it just kept shredding. Wyoming winters are harsh and the tarp didn't survive to see another year, so I'm going to go with a cheaper, thinner one, cos if it doesn't last two years, I may as well go for the few month thing and replace every year. ... show more

  • this 20 x 30 fits my 17ft travel trailer perfect.
I just got it 2 hours ago, and put it on in the rain, it is now drying out. In a few days ill be able to work on the outside windows under the tarp and dry. its a good size. it weighs 19lbs very tuff, compared to the blue type you buy at sporting good, or home improvement stores. thick, and strong, I was able to pull over the trailer without ripping it. the trick with tarps is tie them down good leave no flapping or loose ends.. I put a lot of bungy cords on to keep trim taunt "not tight" but taunt i.e. "near the bungies maximum stretch" for flex I also made a "50ft bungy" an went around entire trailer for extra holding, as shown in the pictures. I didn't leave anything loose to flap around at tare. by allowing the flexing bungy, This will keep the tarp from ripping or grommets from pulling out... I have had many tarps in my life, but this is by far the heaviest I have used. i think my trailer is going to weather this year well... thanks i recomend this...its well made. ... show more

  • Deception
I think it will be a good tarp. My low rating is because of the deception by placing the photo of a brown tarp on the Amazon website and as a cover for the tarp when you receive it. I didn't want silver - it is too flashy for the material I want to cover outdoors. I wanted a brown tarp which would fit in with the forest area in which it would be placed. I feel duped, but as I have not been able to find a brown tarp of that size - which is what I need, I will cover it with two smaller old ripped brown tarps I wanted to replace. Amazon, please change the description on your website and tell people the photo is bogus. ... show more

  • Most recent one had a serious UV problem.
I have bought this exact same tarp for about 4 years straight now. They last about a year.. which I was happy with.. and then I had to replace them. I am using this for a roof on a shanty/shed/cabin type thing I have built in the woods.. They worked great for the first 3 years but this year (same tarp) the thing pretty much just disintegrated in the sun after 4 months. Disappointed in that for sure. SO... Beware - may be lacking UV protection with this most current iteration, at least that was my experience. Otherwise.. Great tarp ... show more

  • Very disappointed with quality, not worth $80
Very disappointed with quality This has been on the roof of my rv for one month. We have had very little weather to speak of, I live in the desert. I see EIGHT holes and a two foot tear. For something that was supposed to be reinforced and durable, its acting like tissue paper. Four grommets have sepearated and fallen off as well. ... show more
