    • Has a rubber protective covering
I recently discovered that leaving some padlocks outdoors on a locked gate can cause them to stop working over time. I assume rust corrodes them. I have one old padlock that I cannot open so will have to cut the chain to get it off that gate. Two other padlocks were also rendered useless on other outdoor sheds, but I had left them unlocked so could take them off. I tried oil, WD40 and cleaning them to get them to work again but they won't work. I bought these rubber-covered padlocks and am hoping they will keep moisture out and always work. Although, I plan to go outside and open and close them once in a while to keep them working. I don't want to end up with another padlock I can't get open. ... show more

These locks are smaller than I had first thought they would be but they will work fine for my application. Two keys for each lock and package was delivered on time. This is an edit to the first review, and it's not good. The first time I went to unlock one of the locks. It wouldn't unlock and the lock appears to be corroded after only a short while. I will not repurchase these again, and therefore will not recommend these. I'm also changing my rating to reflect the poor quality. ... show more

    • Get what you pay for.
These were the perfect size and claimed to be waterproof. Sadly once they finally arrived and I used them, they have already started to corrode in the locking mechanism. I’m going to try some WD oil or something similar to see if it helps.

    • Weatherproof !!
I love that this is weatherproof. My last two old locks I had to get bolt cutters to remove as I guess the insides rusted and I couldn’t turn key to open. These locks are sealed from the weather so looks like they will last !

    • Exactly what I was expecting.
I use it for my stores ice house. We've had a ton of rain since I've installed them. They are withholding well and still work great!

    • Metal deteriorated underneath the plastic covers
The plastic covers are useless since the metal rotted in less than 2 months, the locks won't lock or close anymore. Waste of money.

These are cheap junk. The little rubber seals fall off and they are difficult to snap closed and unlock. Junk would not buy again.
