The doors would not line up. The receiving part was either not lined up correctly or the holes were too small. We had to use a mallet and I am pretty sure doing that we almost broke the weld. But we ended up having to just jam one door in to the frame and will use the other side to be the opening and closing and will not be able to open both doors. Also the four brackets that go on the top corners the screws only thread in one hole each. For some reason the other holes have no threads at all. I wouldn’t recommend this. ... show more

    • Make SURE to measure your dog before purchasing!
Very well made kennel! It certainly is a piece of furniture and can be used as an end table, that's what I'm using it for. Metal portions are well made and fit together perfectly. Wood portions the same. Very nice kennel. I did NOT measure my dog first. BIG mistake. I have a small Pitbull which I felt was in the range of French Bull dog or Border Collie, apparently not... She was crammed in the kennel with nose and but t touching the ends. It was certainly wide enough but I wanted her to have a bit more room vs a standard kennel which she has already. Totally my fault as the description tells you to specifically do that. The unit itself seriously, is well made. You can't go wrong with the price and quality. I've looked all over for a nice "furniture kennel" and this is one of the nicest. What did I do with the too small kennel? Well, the cats have a new palace... I keep their kitty bed, food and water dispenser in there with their toys for a nice non-dog bothered time-out. They just let me know when they want out and all is good. The description says it fits large dogs. IT DOES NOT! I also have adult Rottweilers and wanted to see if they could fit in (IDK why as I KNEW they wouldn't) ANNNDDDD I was right, they don't fit in and it was quite hilarious to watch them try. Had to back out and couldn't even turn around! That's the only part of the description that is incorrect. 5 stars from me for an excellent product! ... show more

I bought two of these because they have an attractive size and design. One was missing the holder for the water bowl. It also had the place for the water bowl holder to attach welded on backwards so it wouldn't have been able to have a water bowl holder anyway. As soon as I put the first crate together one of the latches immediately broke, but I think it will still be usable because the dog is crate trained. I think if I find the right part I can repair it but it is a tiny round piece of metal that flew off to who knows where as soon as I tried to use the latch. The second crate presented its own unique set of problems. One of the plastic snaps did not want to snap even when I sat on the crate so I ended up just letting it be assembled slightly crooked. Whoever welded the door parts on the second crate did not do the hinge straight, so I had to pound the door on the hinge with a mallet pretty hard to get it to go together. The welds looked like whoever did them was just practicing. The wood look particleboard or melamine or whatever it is on the back has extremely fragile edges so you have to make darn sure you don't bump it before you get it installed or it will have chunks chipped out of it. Overall it was fairly stressful to deal with all the problems with these crates. I am guessing that other crates with a similar design all come from the same manufacturer so they might all be tricky to deal with. ... show more

This luxury dog crate was very easy to put together. The instructions were not difficult to follow at all. It is very luxurious looking. My dog crate. Mat fits in it perfectly and the doors open and close easily.
