Features

  • GIANT Orange King Bell Sweet Pepper Seeds, Heirloom NON-GMO, Blocky, Large, Super Prolific, Delicious, Thick Walled! 90 days.
  • SOIL temperature MUST be kept at 75-90F for proper germination!!! Cool soil, particularly at night can inhibit or significantly delay germination. Overly warm soils, well above 90F, can inhibit germination and provide ideal conditions for seed rot.
  • To keep soil temperature warm, start seeds indoors. Keep the container covered with a plastic bag on the top of the fridge where the room temperature is higher, therefore the soil temperature is good for germination.
  • Keep soil moderately moist, though not overly, dripping wet. Water soil when the soil surface just begins to dry. Allow proper air circulation for containers.
  • Once seedlings have sprouted, keep in small containers until a few sets of leaves have developed. Transplant to larger containers or outdoors. If transplanting outdoors, make sure to harden off seedlings by exposing them to only filtered sunlight for up to 1-2 weeks.

Description

A deliciously sweet and tangy orange pepper. Blocky pepper turning from green to bright orange when mature. This is the sweetest bell pepper we have tasted to date. Orange King is perfect for fresh eating, dips, salads, stuffing, stir fries and sandwiches. Produces average yields of blocky fruits, with 4-5 lobes that measure 4"x6" in size. 90 days. • I
Not new to growing from seed. Low germination yield. Will update in a few months about the final pepper results.

  • Great seeds
Most of the seeds germinated, I am not sure if my peppers are ever going to turn orange though, but all the plants have given out bell peppers so far.

  • Great seeds
95% germination. In the ground now, so far so good.

  • Disappointment
Turned yellow then started to shrivel, never seen an orange one this year. Very disappointing.

  • Green peppers not orange
I planted these and they are green peppers! Not orange! Disappointed

  • Extremely Low Germination Rate
Sweet bell peppers are known for being difficult, so one should never expect a high germination rate. However, my germination rate has turned out to be 10 percent -- 20 seeds planted; 2 sprouts. I'm no novice as I grew up on a produce farm. I expected at least 50 percent germination. No such luck.
