I like to use dumbbells at the gym, usually 10 to 30 pounds, in 5-pound increments. At the gym, they have a pair of each size. At home, I'd rather not have to store all those weights. So, I thought I'd try these. They work very well. Setup is easy. Place the loading bas on the floor and place each dumbbell on one (the u-opening on the eights faces upward). Then, just twist the handle (it makes clicks at every increment) until you have the correct weight desired. Then lift up the dumbbell and it will have the desired weight on it (it leaves the unneeded ones on the holder). Use the dumbbells and place them back onto the holders to select a different weight if desired. So, I have 5 to 55 pound dumbbells that I can use for bicep and tricep workouts at home, all in just 2 dumbbells. They are well-made with nice rubber coatings (so if I drop one, no damage to floor) and the handles are very comfortable to use. I give these 5 stars. ... show more

I like it a lot. Such a space saver. The downside is that it’s a bit bulky when working out with it. There are times where it gets in the way of my range in motion. I had to adjust a bit. Otherwise I would’ve given it 5 stars.

The dumbbells are fine and are pretty good quality. However, you need the bases in order to adjust the weight. Both bases are defective and inoperable. I have not been able to find a way to contact the seller to let them know and hopes of getting a replacement of the bases.

I'm not super active or in shape and when I saw these I was excited to get them as it would be a good way to encourage myself to be more active during the day. I keep these in my home office near the desk and I will try to do a few sets throughout the day in between meetings and tasks. I'm not super active so the lower weight options are great for me. If I get a little more tone that would be great but i'm not necessarily looking to gain a lot of muscle mass - just be more fit in general. The dials to select a weight on these are very easy to use and the stands help to easily secure and hold the weights/discs that are not actively in use on the dumbbell. These do not take up a lot of room and are very convenient to use. Would definitely recommend these. ... show more

Handle is non-slip rubber. The adjustment parts are mostly hidden so you can't really see how they work. There is a metal adjustment piece that goes down the middle. The weight plates are metal encased in plastic and are one piece. All the weight plates are the same in every way. -Compact. Each dumbbell is actually 5 dumbbells (5,10,15,20,25). They come in a pair, so 10 dumbells for the space of 2 dumbbells!! -Ok design overall. I like that the design is simple which is good for not breaking. -Precise manufacturing. This is the second set I own of this exact product. The second set came in and is an exact replica of the first set. They weigh the exact same and everything. Pretty impressive! Cons: -Most of the time, its going to take 2 hands to put the dumbbell back on the stand. The reason why is because the base doesn't keep the weights straight. So when you try and put the dumbbell back on the stand, you might accidentally bump a weight (high chance) and now you gotta use two hands. Other Thoughts: -Not a con because they come in pair. Weight isn't accurate but its decently close. Weighing these with an accurate scale, here is a list of the listed weight vs the real weight (in pounds): 5 = 4 10 = 9.2 15 = 14.4 20 = 19.4 25 = 24.4 -Not a con but worth mentioning because it is a minor inconvenience. You can't immediately jump from 25 to 5. You have to go from 25 to 20 to 15 to 10 to get to 5. If your on 5 you can't immediately jump to 25. You have to go to 5 to 10 to 15 to 20 to 25. -There is a little bit of play. This is normal for adjustable dumbbells. -Base is made out of plastic. This is a super cool dumbbell set. It is as described and pictured. I love the adjustable weight options and they look super sleek. The material quality this thick, heavy and durable. I also like the included weight holders. The price point is a little high but this is a nice quality set. I would recommend for any home, office, personal or professional use.
