The family and I took this on a camping trip we did early in the fall. it was easy to put together and convenient since there was no fire ring at our campsite. While it is convenient, the unit's weight would be horrible for backpacking where ounces matter.

If your looking for a fancy fire pit this is not it. This is just a simple small firepit for a a couple of people. Not sure that it will last very long but is nice to have for these cool fall nights to make some smores and hang out with the kiddos.
