Sound is not bad at all, but it is not great either. It does seem to improve with time and twiddling with the controls. It seems to me that the longer I have used this the better the output is able to be varied. If you remember the process of "speaker break-in" you will know what I mean. For personal practice it is fine, but would not use for any recital/performance. Actually pretty decent quality for a low price. It is easy to use; I haven't used a battery with it yet, but I imagine it works nice for a portable amp. Really cute and I bought the pink and I love the color! It goes with my pink Strat lol. The distortion could be a little less static, but you do get what you pay for. It uses a simple plug and a ground is not necessary which makes it ideal for plugging It went to an extension. It’s versatile I can plug my phone up to it and hear more bass.
