I have been through all the usual products to keep ants out of my house. All kinds of chemicals that may work to slow them down but never really get rid of them. Within a few days they are back in full force again and I have to keep using more chemicals to try and get rid of them again. I worry that using so many chemicals will end up causing a problem with our health or that it will start to affect our pets. I placed this ultrasonic controller in a plug in the kitchen and in a short time we watched as the ants were fewer and fewer and before too long they were gone completely.     • So far, excellent at keeping insects away!
About a year or two ago, we started seeing very weird insects showing up in our basement and garage. I'm not at all squeamish with spiders, bugs, mice...but spider crickets are a different story and they really gave me the willies. I thought we'd found their way in and I put some boric acid down. It seemed to do the trick for a while, but there are a couple of problems with that. Firstly, it means the dogs can't go in either location, it also leaves white powder in places, so you don't feel like the place is really clean. Plus it looks shabby when you have guests--like you have an infestation or something. I plugged one of these each in the finished basement (which is 750 sq ft) and single car garage. I haven't seen a single one of those nasty bugs since then. The weather here has changed a few times and that usually is a signal that they'll show up, but nothing. So far, so good. While they do not all appear in the photo; I did receive four of these devices. Using these sonic repellants could not be easier. You simply plug them in and walk away. True to their claim, activating them had no impact on our dogs. Once on, they have a light that works almost like a night light. Most importantly, I do think they seem to be helping. We were seeing evidence of mice trying to sneak into our basement and that evidence appears to be tapering off. While this is probably not a perfect method of rodent control, we are pleased with its performance so far. The only real downside of these is that each one does take up a plug in an outlet, which is something you never seem to have enough of. Assuming you can give up some plug in places, however, this is a very user friendly tool to use as you work to keep pests at bay. Recommend. ... show more
