Our pool is 14x28 with a 10” deep shallow end, three steps then slopes to 6 at the deep end. The slow slope to the deep end seems to throw off the robots pattern. It doesn’t work it’s way up or down the slope without eventually going diagonal from side to side. I’ll try the long ways next to see if that’s better. It won’t sweep the shallow end, it must be too shallow. Obviously it won’t go over the steps either. Our walls have a small step in them so it will only go 4 inches up the walls. This may be good for a quick sweep but I’ll still need to hook up the hose and clean the old fashioned way for a good clean. Hopefully little less often now Update-customer service reached out within a day and offered to replace the unit for free. I was offered a different model and went with a scuba S1. This model has tracks and works a much better pattern than the seagull. This one also goes up the walls to the waterline. After the first use it picked up quite a bit to debris that was invisible from the surface. Really impressed by the customer service and really quick with ensuring my satisfaction. It’s a cool concept and I LOVE cordless, but this thing is a dud. The pros are that it’s easy to clean and the suction seems fine. But the battery dies so fast it doesn’t even make it’s way around my pool. It usually spins around lost and never actually vacuums any of the obvious debris, like a single leaf that is clearly visible. The battery hasn’t lasted long enough to even attempt to move onto cleaning the walls after the floor. I’ve stood and watched it for an hour and there is no rhyme or reason to its pattern, sometimes running back and forth in the same line over and over. And I always have to save it from being stuck on the drain. Overall, I’m unimpressed and returning it. I’m going to try a corded version of a different brand next. ... show more

The Aiper pool vacuum is a game changer.... we installed a pool last year and purchased a very expensive Pentair vacuum connected to the skimmer..it did not work. After troubleshooting and trying different speeds, along with viewing the ugliness of the hose floating around the pool surface - we called it quits and purchased this Aiper drop in model. It is a beast...does an amazing job , even clings to the walls with great suction, and it's fun to watch. Easy to retrieve when the program is complete, and easy to clean and re charge for the next use. We are so happy that we can set it and forget it, and return to a sparkling pool.     • Constantly gets stuck drain covers
I have been using this bot to replace a Polaris 280 Vac for a little over a month. It does do a good cleaning the pool floor and scrubbing the walls. I gave it 3 stars because I have to babysit it when in use. It tends to get stuck when it drives over the pool's drain covers practically every time I use it. It lays directly on top of the cover where the wheels are no longer are in contact with the pool floor. I have to push it off the covers with my pool brush. BTW - per the manual, I run it when the pool's pump is off. It also does not clean the pool steps as they are too narrow (11" wide) for the bot. It does try to climb up on them, but it's too big. I do not consider this a fault of the bot, but thought I'd mention it. ... show more

    • Exactly what I wanted in a remote pool vacuum
I’ve had it for a month and been very happy by what it picks up. Climbs walls. Pool way cleaner than it has been in months! Only thing is when you plug it in, you turn the knob & kind of difficult to turn it. If you had arthritis in your hands, this model would be very difficult for you due to the that. We are overall, very happy with it. I can make an update on it in a couple months. Curious is the battery lift will hold up after a full summer of daily use & charging. ... show more
