  • Updated-excellent customer service
Our pool is 14x28 with a 10” deep shallow end, three steps then slopes to 6 at the deep end. The slow slope to the deep end seems to throw off the robots pattern. It doesn’t work it’s way up or down the slope without eventually going diagonal from side to side. I’ll try the long ways next to see if that’s better. It won’t sweep the shallow end, it must be too shallow. Obviously it won’t go over the steps either. Our walls have a small step in them so it will only go 4 inches up the walls. This may be good for a quick sweep but I’ll still need to hook up the hose and clean the old fashioned way for a good clean. Hopefully little less often now Update-customer service reached out within a day and offered to replace the unit for free. I was offered a different model and went with a scuba S1. This model has tracks and works a much better pattern than the seagull. This one also goes up the walls to the waterline. After the first use it picked up quite a bit to debris that was invisible from the surface. Really impressed by the customer service and really quick with ensuring my satisfaction. Would recommend to anyone looking for a pool vacuum. ... show more

  • Absolutely Horrible Cust Service and Products not as advertised
I originally wrote a review in March after we had the Seagull had a month. This is less convenient than a wall powered cleaner since you have to take it out every day and charge several hours. When on vacation, you can't set a schedule like a wall powered cleaner for a few days to keep the pool floor cleaned while away. We have a kidney shaped pool and it does not get all areas because it cannot navigate curves. It does not clean or climb walls at all, so worthless to me unless it cleans the ENTIRE pool. My original post said I was just going to return and I would go back to my existing Dolphin brand. Since I wrote a poor review and the Aiper customer service --overseas team who do not speak/write English very well -- 'oh let us make this right for you!' scam started. Offered me a corded option for one of their obsolete robots. Try a corded model "at no cost". Then we continue with "I want to return the cordless option purchased" -- sure sure. Then it went to, them shipping an obsolete corded option that does not include a warranty since you have no reciept, good luck with any future repairs or parts..... Like, I am not paying this amount of money for a cordless robot that simply is inferrior for you to switch me to an unwarrantied corded obsolete piece of junk. The Orca replacement has wonky filter access and EOL. I don't want your crap! Told me to ship them both back since I wouldn't pay the $750 to keep BOTH! I NEED ONE!!!!! Like don't waste my time. In the end the Seagull was not good unless you had a perfect square angled pool. I don't believe it has power to climb and clean walls effectively. The Orca 2000 they sent maybe was fine, but I don't want an end of life product if you no longer build sell and support a corded model. I hate you people for wasting my time and energy ... show more

  • Bigger, More Powerful, Longer Running
I have used the smaller Aiper pool robots (Seagull SE, Scuba) for awhile and they do a good job cleaning especially the small stuff and particulates like sand that settle on the bottom of the pool. And that is great because that stuff is really hard to clean up. But in general for the larger jobs I still had to use the hose powered pool vacuum manually or get in the pool and just grab he big pieces myself. However, the Seagull Pro is in a different class. First it is much bigger, with a much bigger bottom trap to pull in debris. Another nice feature is you don't have to take the bottom half of the robot off to clean it because it has a very easy to get to basket accessible from the top. I added pictures just to capture the real size difference (because it was not clear to me when looking at them separately on Amazon). The Seagull Pro is huge! And it needs to be to get the job done. Another thing I noticed is how much more powerful it is. The Seagull Pro has powerful turbines on the top that suck water through forcing debris into the trap and the basket. These turbines are so powerful, you can see water currents at surface level even when it is several feet below the surface on the bottom of the pool. Also, it definitely runs much longer than the lower end models. And it does climb the walls, which can be a little jarring if you are outside and periodically hear it climbing just above the water surface scrubbing the tile edge. All that said, my real question was how well does it work? Can it close the gap and handle all the cleaning my pool requires? Well, last weekend I was out of town (lucky me) and it was one of those windy rainy South Florida weekends. My pool has a lot of trees around it, and after one of these runs of weather my pool is a mess. So when I got back, I had a great opportunity to give the Seagull Pro a real test. First I let the Seagull SE and the Scuba give it a go. And they did admirably picking up plenty of debris but the majority was still left especially the big pieces. Normally, I would just run the little guys several more times until it got down to only big pieces, then turn on the pool heater, and go for a swim to pull out the big stuff. But now was the time for the Seagull Pro. And it delivered! It pulled up a ton of debris including a lot of huge pieces. See the basket picture to get an idea. I'm talking long palm frond pieces. When it was done, only a few pieces remained. As well as I could have done with the hose powered vacuum spending a half hour. I would say it passed the test with flying colors. I am very happy to have eliminated pretty much all the manual work in keeping a difficult pool clean. The Seagull Pro costs a bit more than the more affordable models, but it packs a lot more performance. Only one drawback I have so far, is the Seagull Pro is a little trickier to hook and pull out of the pool then the other models. But definitely not a big deal. ... show more

  • It WORKS!
The Aiper pool vacuum is a game changer.... we installed a pool last year and purchased a very expensive Pentair vacuum connected to the skimmer..it did not work. After troubleshooting and trying different speeds, along with viewing the ugliness of the hose floating around the pool surface - we called it quits and purchased this Aiper drop in model. It is a beast...does an amazing job , even clings to the walls with great suction, and it's fun to watch. Easy to retrieve when the program is complete, and easy to clean and re charge for the next use. We are so happy that we can set it and forget it, and return to a sparkling pool. Thank you Aiper - We LOVE it. ... show more
