  • Does a great job!
Color: Space Gray
The media could not be loaded. Firstly, I have only used the Scuba once and it's far more complicated (modes and the AI used to attempt to cover the entire pool) than my other pool cleaner so I'll come back and post an update once I have more information. I'm also going to upload a short video. Unpacking: The unpacking was simple and it was extremely well packed so arrived pristine and arrived fast, I believe 2 days. Charging: This was simple, just pull out the rubber plug and plug in the electrical cord and it charges. Ready for the first voyage: I unplugged it from the charger and then refit the rubber plug. I brought it to my "small 3500 gallon" all tile pool and held the button for a few seconds, it turned on and I put it into the pool. Walls: It immediately started cleaning the walls, It wasn't perfect coverage but it did it's job and kept moving a bit to the right and then doing the next line on the wall. My other cleaner only does floors. Steps: I have a unique "Spool" that is 7x13x5.5'deep. You walk in on the one edge and there are a narrow series of steps that you follow down the short side of the pool and then turn and you're in the pool. The Scuba would make it's way up the wall and then across the step and then finish up the wall. Then it would work it's way back down, across the step and then down to the bottom and then would turn slightly to the right and do the next line. It would pause periodically to try to figure out what to do but always seemed to find a way off the steps even when one of the treads was not touching. Even in the corner it is a tight step but it managed to just fit. It fell sideways but eventually got itself back off the small step. I didn't give it hours in the auto mode to see if it would cover everything but perhaps next time I will. Floor: It wasn't spending much time on the floor and instead was working on the walls pretty much for 45 minutes or so. I decided time to crack open the manual for the first time and see what I could figure out. There are many modes. I believe it was in the full auto floor and walls mode but honestly, I didn't confirm the LED so I will have to try it again. However, I pressed the button a few times until it was set to floor only mode and put it back in the pool. I watched it for maybe 20 minutes and it was hard to determine what it's game plan was but it wasn't slowly covering inch by inch, it was moving around a bit erratic. There was a lot of noticeable dirt all over the floor so I decided to leave it be and go about another project I needed to work on. I came back about an hour later, so probably around 2 hours total run time, and it was still happily running and what's more, NOT A SPEC OF DIRT ON THE FLOOR! It cleaned everything spotless! Cleaning the dirt collection: I had a different pool cleaner that was much more difficult to clean out. This guy was dead easy. Lift the cover, pull out the screen/net basket (which had a ton of dirt and debris in it), and spray it down with the garden hose and you're good to go! Conclusion: I still have to fully take the covers off the pool and put the Scuba back in set to floor and wall mode and then just let it do it's thing. I thought I read that it can run for 90 minutes but I'm sure it was running much longer than that. I'll fully charge it and run it in full auto and see how it works. That said, it did a great job on the floor and seemed to be doing a nice job on the walls. Very impressed with the battery life. ... show more

  • Amazing!
Color: Space Gray
I've been using the new Aiper pool vacuum for about a month and it is amazing so far. This was a replacement for an older model Aiper that finally died after several years of use and this one is such a nice upgrade. 1. It charges up quickly and runs for a couple hours or more 2. the wall climbing feature is a great upgrade from my old model and it works very well. It comes all the way to the top, scrubs the surface / water line for about 10 seconds and then moves along. I have even noticed that it comes up on the steps in the shallow end. 3. it has enough power that it does not get stuck in the deep end (my old one did this all the time) 4. very easy to clean 5. Captures the finest of grit and dirt that you would not even know was there. We have oak tress, pine trees and palms outside our pool cage and fine tree dirt, pollen, and pine needles make their way through the screen often, this picks up all that stuff with ease. 6. the included hook fits on the end of a standard pool pole making retrieval easy It is a costly unit compared to some others out there, but you do get what you pay for and this is worth the investment in my opinion. My old version lasted 5 years with very frequent use 12 months of the year in Florida and if this one lasts that long it'll be worth it. ... show more

  • Easy to use and helps us keep pool clean
Color: Space Gray
To start, the unit was packaged really well and instructions were clear and easy to follow. You just charge battery, press power button, select cleaning mode and submerge in pool to get moving. I found it lasts quite long on the charge, up to a few hours and plenty long to get around my pool (inground pool ~35' x 16'). Since this is self-propelled, it will navigate its way around the pool without any more effort from you. The only extra time you will spend is watching it scurry around the pool, it is a little mesmerizing :) When you are used to cleaning pool yourself, the navigation patterns will bug you if you watch too long (e.g. you often want it to just scooch over a few inches and grab that dirt). Nevertheless, if you leave it alone it will eventually do a pretty good job reaching all over the pool. My pool has a large slope with angled sides descending to about 8 feet, this is the part where it has the most difficulty. It is plenty powerful to get up the slope, but you will find that it tends to "float" in the water when it descends and eventually settles. Same when it comes up the slope, it hits my angled slopes on side walls and floats a bit, tending to keep repeating pattern in some spots for much longer than needed. It eventually will break its pattern (could be over 30 mins), but this is where you may get frustrated if you stare too long. There was one time where it did not seem to break the pattern, but this only happened once to me. If you wish, you could give it a little nudge with a pole if you do not like its path, but generally that will not be necessary and it will not be an exact science. After the cleaning is done, I have found the pool to be pretty clean with a few exceptions around edges/corners, but overall the pool looks good. I will say that after a few hours of cleaning and turning the pool filter back on, you will notice that some debris may start to settle in places. Many reviews talk about fine sand being missed, that may be true although I found plenty of sand and small debris in cleaner so it seems to pickup ok for me. I think the main reason is that the jet on the cleaner is going to inevitably blow debris off the ground into the water instead of picking up. That debris will eventually float back down after a while. In the end, you should not expect cleaning will be as good as when you do yourself. If you want a perfect job you should periodically supplement with your own cleaning. With that said, we have been able to run this cleaner every few days to keep pool looking nice without much effort. It saves us time and energy and makes pool maintenance easier, that is what I was looking for and found the price very reasonable. After cleaner is done, it is easy to grab out of pool with pole and hook, and emptying cleaner basket is easy, just spray basket and unit with hose. After you let unit sit and fully dry, charge it up again and repeat. Overall, I recommend this filter, it was my first purchase of such a unit and was pleased with the simplicity. It is well made, easy to use, convenient and capable of handling my oddly shaped pool. You will get value if you just manage expectations and do not expect a pristine pool at all times. ... show more
